« on: August 12, 2009, 03:36:31 AM »
so its a challegnge between a 20 druid and a 20 spirit shaman, im trying to make my druid as sneaky as possible.

im looking to try and get hide move silently and sleight of hand on my druid to make him a very very sneaky druid whose casting cant be seen while its happening

is there anyway to get move silently and sleight?

i know i can use martial study to grab hide from shadow hand, but afetr that im in a stump

With feats only?  Not that I'm aware of.  There might be some obscure alternate racial druid class that gives up, I dunno, wildshape for animal domain, but you wouldn't want that.

With prestige classes, certainly.  Singer of concordance (RotD) works, for example.

Alternate Source Spell or a Dragonblood Pool can get you into Rainbow Servant.

Easiest way (yet oh so cheesy):
Venerable Dragonwrought Kobold. Take the epic feat "Bonus Domain" at 18th level to add 1 full domain to your list. Done.

The other way I can think of is to be in Eberron and take the Educated feat for Knowledge(Religion), which opens up the Contemplative and Sovereign Speaker. Other prestige classes could be useful, but those two you get to choose the domains. (Any feat that allows you to add a knowledge skill would also work)

Last few levels of druid isn't all that important imo. I'd go with a level of Contemplative if I could fit it in :)

Something cheesy, but less cheesy than the cheesewrought instabold, would be to use a house rule found in Unearthed Arcana on page 68 in a sidebar. Druid gains a domain from this list: Air, Animal, Earth, Fire, Plant, Sun, and Water. The Animal and Plant domains also give skill focus (knowledge: nature) and Sun domain actually gives turning 1/day instead of greater turning. The druid does not "trade in" anything.

I've never notice that before... but that's a GREAT variant! Now druids can persist their spells w/o multiclassing!

ok ok

its druid 20, it has to be druid 20, there cannot be anythign else but druid 20 in it

the domain thing in UA is just one guys house rule he uses at his place, as much as awesome UA is im trying to not use it to much out of it

oh and can you think of any way to get sleight of hand as a class skill?

Yeah would be nice to know what you need this for; what it really is that you want. And I'm guessing this is just one side of a gestalt build?

There's the MIC Domain Draught, but that only lets you prepare its domain's spells if you could prepare domain spells normally.

well my dm for some reason belives the spirit shaman to be a match for a druid

so he says

20th level builds
20 druid
vs
20 spirit shaman

and im just figuring out how doing this that i can get domain spells

What's wrong with being invisible?  Or let your animal companion bluff as spellcasting.

The Planar Touchstone feat can give you access to a domain.  It can also give you Ex and IIRC Immediate action Time Stop.  That=Win, without even abusing Wild Shape.

Move silently and Hide are easy enough in case you can use Eberron material. Nightsinger initiate or whatever the other prerequisite feat for Planar Shepherd is does the trick for you just fine. Faiths of Eberron is the source.

iffy but, Initiate of Nature (some where in faerun, Campaign setting I think) gives rebuke animal / plant, Divine meta magic (this is the iffy part) and use it to quicken spells.

"Ha druid casting your spells I can see"
*instantly casts*
"ouch druid casting your spells so fast"

Not sure if that was what you were aiming for but seemed to be where the thread was at.  ???

2 options.

Guerrilla Scout feat from Heroes of Battle allows you to buy Hide and Move Silently ranks at 1 per skill point, but doesn't remove the cross-class max ranks cap.

Cast Forest Fold and/or Camouflage.
