Summon Falling Cow

Conjuration (Summoning)
Level: Sor/Wiz 4
Components: V, S, F
Casting Time: 1 full round
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Area: One 2 x 5 ft. splash.
Effect: One summoned cow
Duration: 1 round/level (D)
Saving Throw: Reflex negates
Spell Resistance: No

Flavor text:
At the sound of a cow bell, you notice a mysterious dark shadow form around you. As you look up to discern the origin of the shadow, you notice a dairy cow mooing in terror as it is falling towards you. Some say that this spell was invented by a kinder sorcerer, who wished to pull a prank on a pack of minotaur pirates.

Rules text:
This spell summons a free falling dairy cow. It appears in the air above a target or a point of impact designated when the spell is cast and lands immediately after it is called into the material plane. The cow always dies on impact, but the splattered carcass remains for the duration of the spell, able to serve as cover, distraction or an obstacle. Also, if the target of large size or smaller fails its reflex save and is hit by the cow, the target will remain trapped under the 800 lb cow for up to the duration of the spell or until it escapes, whatever comes first. See below.

The height of which the cow appears over the target or target area is equal to 10 feet per four caster levels, and as the cow weighs 800 pounds it deals 4d6 points of damage for each 10 feet it falls. Subjects capable of lifting the animal off the ground may remove the cow as a full round action on their next round, and subjects capable of lifting the cow over their heads may free themselves as a move action. Subjects not capable of lifting the cow off themselves may try to eel themselves out from under the splattered cow with a DC 20 escape artist check. Subjects trapped under the cow are considered flat fooded, and takes 1d4 points of crushing damage per round it remains trapped.

Arcane Focus:
A cow bell that has hung around the neck of a dairy cow for at least one year.

Here, try this:

Summon Falling Cow

Evocation
Level: Sor/Wiz 4
Components: V, S, F
Casting Time: 1 full round
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels), see text
Area: Two 5ft spaces, both of which are adjacent to each other.
Effect: One summoned cow
Duration: 1 round/level (D)
Saving Throw: Reflex negates
Spell Resistance: No

At the sound of a cow bell, you notice a mysterious dark shadow form around you. As you look up to discern the origin of the shadow, you notice a dairy cow mooing in terror as it is falling towards you. Some say that this spell was invented by a kinder sorcerer, who wished to pull a prank on a pack of minotaur pirates.

This spell summons a free falling dairy cow. It appears in the air above a target or a point of impact designated when the spell is cast and lands immediately after it is called into the material plane. The cow always dies on impact. Both spaces the cow occupied are considered difficult terrain for the duration of this spell.

The cow weighs 800lbs, and appears from a height of 10ft per 4 caster levels (to a maximum of 50ft). The impact deals 4d6 per 10ft of distance the cow dropped (to a maximum of 20d6, at Caster Level 20th). When the spell's duration expires, the corpse decays to fine dust, leaving nothing behind.

If a Medium or smaller creature fails its Reflex save against this spell, it is crushed by the corpse. The victim falls prone, and is pinned (as though grappled, but the victim cannot make a grapple check to escape or avoid this effect). As a Full Round action that provokes an attack of opportunity, the target may attempt either a DC 20 Escape Artist check or a DC 15 Strength Check to escape from the cow's space. This method deals 2d6 points of damage to the creature attempting to escape. regardless of the outcome. If the cow's weight would be considered a medium or lighter load for the creature trapped underneath it, the target can simply lift the cow as part of its action to stand up. This method deals no additional damage to the creature (or creatures).

Arcane Focus:
A cow bell that has hung around the neck of a dairy cow for at least one year.[/spoiler]

The reason for the change from Conjuration to Evocation is because Conjuration (Summoning) spells have a restriction placed on them that prevents you from summoning the creature in places it would not normally occur. Evocation has no such restriction.

I'd have made the cow heavier(which adds virtual distance with falling damage, doesn't it?) instead of dropping it higher as part of CL improvement though. The latter is more limited use.
The mind transcends the body.
It's also a little cold because of that.
Please get it a blanket.

"Just what do you think the moon up in the sky is? Everyone sees that big, round shiny thing and thinks there must be something round up there, right? That's just silly. The truth is much more awesome than that. You can almost never see the real Moon, and its appearance is death to humans. You can only see the Moon when it's reflected in things. And the things it reflects in, like water or glass, can all be broken, right? Since the moon you see in the sky is just being reflected in the heavens, if you tear open the heavens it's easy to break it~"
