A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

You start walking, as Sam casts a very basic armor spell, in a westish direction, Sam marking the trees as you go, and you follow what you hope is west by guiding yourself on the sun, since a straight line is a very vague concept in the tangle of undergrowth, vines, trees and plants that is the jungle.

The heat is opressing and soon you are winded from the long hard walk, such exercice is recreational in Keysackra, and now you have to do it just to keep on moving.  Most of you can't wait to master teleportation just to avoid such a hassle.

Listen check
([20, 5], [10, 3], [14, 2], [6, -1], [13, 4], [3, 1])
You can all start hearing some light undergrowth being brushed aside as two creatures approach your clearing lightly, predators of the jungle most likely, they are probably too dumb to recognise the glow of magic about you and thus try their luck, time to show them who's on top of the food chain.
You have 1 round prebattle, you can't see them yet, what do you do?
Cecil says "If you can see in the dark, gather near me to hide yourself." The shadows gather themselves around him, and then words of a simple spell come from his mouth. The area around him (20 foot radius, lasts 5 minutes) is plunged into magical darkness. Even those who can normally see in darkness can no longer make out his form, however.
He activates Cloak of Shadows as a free action, granting him 25% concealment. He moves 15' away from the direction where he thinks the sound is coming from and then casts No Light on a piece of loose string sticking out from his cloak. Creatures with Darkvision can see through the spell effect, but Cecil has a Ring of Darkhidden, making him effectively invisible while inside the radius. Of course unfortunately for him, he can't see in it as he doesn't have Darkvision (should have went Necropolitan... maybe I'll add the dragonborn template. :P ).

He'll also hide, though it shouldn't be necessary.
Channeling the raw emotions which run through him, Zion begins drawing ectoplasm onto the material plane and sculpting it into a vaguely manish shape. Upon closer inspection, it becomes apparent that this is not the shape of a man you would want to meet in a dark alley. Arms like tree trunks, and legs to match somehow compliment the lack of neck or any discernible facial features.
He also moves away from Cecil.

The forest is now quieter, the air still vibrating from the crackle of eldritch energies, the air filled with the ozone smell of flesh burned by pure arcane power.  The jungle monsters in these parts have long since learned to stay well clear from anyone emanating such signs, and you should be in the clear for now.

"That was exciting. Shall we continue?" Nathan stops playing, but the melody seems to continue for a bit. He throws the harp case into his bag, but leaves the harp in an easy to reach area.

Cecil, his hand closed over the source of the magical darkness, looks thoughful "Hmm... those things were pretty tough. They would make a decent zombie, I think. Are we going to... er... camp? anytime soon? I could animate one, if I had time to reprepare my spells.

Of course, if we're not going to camp, I can certainly leave them. I'm sure we'll find other... umm... specimens... to use.
"

"And does anyone else have a source of healing? This old wand only has a few charges left in it."

"Hey, no funny business with the undead. Those things creep me out, man."
Cecil blinks, and says "Excuse me? Are we from the same kingdom? You do know who does most of the manual labor where we're from, don't you?

I understand if you find them... distasteful... but you have to admit that they are quite useful. Why risk getting stabbed yourself when you can use the corpse of a fallen enemy for risky things, like combat?

Kernon speaks in an analytic tone.

Well then, if no one objects, we can make camp here until morning. Then Cecil can get one of these corpses up and moving so my creations don't have to do all the heavy lifting.
I can expend the charges in my belt to heal anyone who needs it. Then we can decide on a watch schedule. I think resting 10 hours and having everyone take 2 hour shifts makes the most sense. I'll volunteer to go first.

"Why? We can continue on towards our objective now, and camp later. We do have a rough schedule, you know. If we have your creations, I don't see why we need more things floating around."

Alright, then we can put it to a vote. As leader, I'll abstain for now and act as a tiebreaker. Sam is against, I assume Cecil is for?
Cecil takes 10 on a Survival check to avoid getting lost, for a total of 16. And another to predict the weather for 24 hours, and get an idea of what time of day it is.

I don't want to jeopardize our mission, but if it is an appropriate time and place to camp, I'll vote yes. Also, do we even know where we're going? How much farther till we're supposed to get to our destination?
