Monk 2/Ardent 8/Slayer 10 with Tashalatora (Slayer) would have BAB +17, 9th level powers known, and 12th level monk abilities (including greater flurry). Psionicists can buff the crap out of themselves, and also can benefit from VoP without suffering too much (make sure to buy all the +5 Tomes you want before taking it).

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

^I prefer to use Egoist myself. Get Greater Metamorphosis. Go to town.

You would need Carmedine Monk by the way, but I think spending 1 extra feat and a -2 to your BAB is worth it for freakin' Greater Metamorphosis.

Of course that works too. I'm sure you can get Gr. Metamorphosis as an Ardent somehow, but it probably isn't as straightforward as getting it as an Egoist. ;) Also, Polymorph-like abilities are commonly banned in campaigns, and turning into something else might not fit his "theme".

I'm playing a couple of Ardent multiclass gishes right now and enjoying them, but an Egoist gish (ab)using Metamorphosis would probably be at least as effective as they are.

I would consider Ardent 10/Slayer 8, since there's that Mind's Eye ACF for Ardent 10 that lets you manifest preferred powers at lower PP and without expending your focus.

The Circle Mower is a similar idea to this.
Hood - My first answer to all your build questions; past, present, and future.

Speaking of which:
Don't even need TO for this.  Any decent Hood build, especially one with Celerity, one-rounds [Azathoth, the most powerful greater deity from d20 Cthulu].
Does it bug anyone else that we've reached the point where characters who can obliterate a greater deity in one round are considered "decent?"

Not really, the point is to have everything be inherent.

My example was an outsider that uses SLAs all the time.

Or any other outsider with a list of SLAs.

Or any other outsider with a list of SLAs.

Of course, any outsider with a lot of SLAs could pull this through but Aurumachs have 20 quite good SLAs at will (and around 5 or more others 3/day) and a couple of other great abilities (Summon Armor, Antithesis) to top it off ;)

And the outsider I linked to can have 19+ good SLAs at will at level 15 too, but you can actually pick them based on themes you want, your other abilities are easily comparable in quality and also changeable to fit your concept.

And oh yeah, it's a player character, not an outsider that has an ECL in Epic.

Basically, I didn't saw what you linked so I wasn't really comparing. I just tossed an idea.

As far as the ECL is concerned, a lot of DMs (at least all DMs in my country) do not calculate Hit Dice (and what benefits those HD give you) so it's playable as a PC as well :)
