So, this dragon seems to have a master? I'm sure it's just a plot hook, but do you think it's already contacted this potential master, or will there even be some way for it to? Killing the dragon outright might silence it, but it would also bring the volcano down on us. I guess it's best to just let the story take its course. :)

Also, good work, tallan, on getting our characters this invaluable information. We would've just left the dragon to die, and wouldn't have known until this 'master' attacked. :D

I'm giving tallan a bit more time to respond, since it's hard to progress without Minharath's actions.

Sorry about the delay. I'm defaulting to generic chat between Minharath and the dragon at around midnight tonight, to keep the game moving.

What? No one told me this was a load-bearing boss!

Heh. There's always a trope for everything, eh? :P

Sorry for the delay. I'm going to try and draw this out a bit longer, so that I don't have to force Minharath to simply walk away. I'd rather the PCs do it, but for the sake of making the game move along I'll do it when it comes down to it.

And thanks guys, for being real damn active. :)

EDIT: Crap. I forgot to add in flavor quotes for the past 6 or so posts. I've gone back and put them in - if you want, you can browse back and look at what's happening in the world around your PCs. :)

All knowledge divulged in quotes are common knowledge for your party.

I'm back and posted. Thank you all for your patience. I'm fine with general chat while I was gone, it's more than I expected. Thank you all also for letting me run with the idea of reviving the boss for a chat.

No problem, tallan. However, Min's gotta realize the dragon hasn't been very cooperative. It's not going to take well to you 'warning it about the collapse' since it can tell what's going on. Also, telling it that you hope you can speak again on peaceful terms is going to fall on deaf ears. It won't believe you about that, regardless of diplomacy roll. We burst in and killed it in 2-3 rounds, then ransacked its hoard. I'm pretty sure it won't be asking you back for tea.  ;)

Well no, I doubt it will. But it can't claim Min was discordial. He wanted the chance to converse with and observe a powerful being, and he seems to have done so. If nothing else, it will have an interesting story to tell it's master and it might think I'm simply insane or unstable. Either way, he got to practice his diplomacy.

Oh no, I'm not trying to insinuate that it was wasted or anything. Just that there are some diminishing returns now. :)

Still a bit out of it from this weekend. I'm ready to step back and let the story flow for a bit. I don't/didn't expect to gain much from it, but it was what the character would have done and it didn't seem to hurt you all much at all.

Alright then, once we're all set, let's put it back in full gear again. :)

Also, how are people taking the current speed? It's more relaxed than when the game started - what are peoples' preferences? Is the "DM posts as often as possible" option working for you all? Feedback is awesome.

I'm fine with this... since I can (somehow) manage to stay connected almost all day long...

I live on my computer during the summer; I'm just lazy like Agita. Once school starts, I'll probably manage to post 1/day at least.

Alright then. Looks like everyone's on board for the ballsworthy posting rate that we've been charging ahead with. :)

I will probably slow down once school starts as well, but I'm CompSci - I'm around computers all the time, so it won't be that difficult for me to pop in multiple times per day.

I just saw that Gideon managed to find something for Min. He's going to feel bad shooting him that look when/if he gets it. Either way I'm excited to see what it is. I looked through the AV while I was gone and saw some nice things the would work for psions like irrefutable armor and Headbands of Intellect. I'll have to keep those in mind for next time there is looting.
