Creation Myth
Though young in terms of existence, the plane has developed nicely. Large cities dot its surface, and each group of powerful kingdoms has formed a union of sorts in an effort to bring order to the world.

The beginning happened with the awakening of the Primus, the creators of existence itself. These 14 powerful entities crafted an entire cosmos for the sheer hell of it, and are the reason the worlds were born.

The first beings were the outsiders. Celestials, fiends, devils, and demons. The Primus made these creatures in an attempt to learn the extent of their own power, but in doing so they made a critical mistake: they gave the outsiders morals and free will.

Thus the war began. Celestials took the side of Virtue, becoming paragons of hope and righteousness. Devils took to Law, becoming the exasperated bureaucracy that they still maintain. Demons wallowed in their freedom, becoming Chaos itself (and are the most vastly divided creatures in all creation). Fiends took malice and carnage as their helm, becoming Evil itself.

While the war between the alignments wagged onward, the Primus tried to correct their mistake. They created Man.
Countries
The Former Valshtic Empire: Hundreds of years ago this country ruled the largest empire known to mortalkind. No Elven forest spread as far and no Dwarven mine had roots as deep as the Valshtic Empire. The country was born when the Primus tried to use humans to confuse the outsiders into a forced stalemate. Instead, the Empire became a prize to obtain for every incarnation of morals and ideals to obtain. It was soon the King in a game of chess.

This caused the nation to thrive. Mortals used the gifts of logic and emotion to sway a form of free will from the hands of the Primus, and people took sides. The Celestials were the first to gain solid ground in Valshtic territory, and they shared this with the Devils in order to forge an alliance. Thus the kingdom was created.

Mortals would be the cause of its demise. As gods were born from the roaring forge that was the peak of the Valshtic Empire, so too did the damned come forth. Among these was Gervanto, the first man to become an embodiment of pure calamity and carnage. He shattered the empire in his rise to power, and started the Grand Advent.

What remains of this tattered kingdom is a desperate plea to maintain unity; the laws that one held it intact now hinder its resurrection. Every action taken by its military is influenced heavily by the republic that governs it.

NeuauraJarnifeldtStarwroughtNibelheimSolomon: The second-oldest kingdom, and first dwarven principality. Originally nothing but massive cliff sides and deep canyons, the first city was built by a mining community hell-bent on finding an adamantine deposit that was rumored to be hidden amongst the cliffs. Every foothold and inch of terrain in view is part of one massive chain of mountains, volcanoes, and canyons that extends deep into the crust of the planet.

The perils of living in this country are two-fold, as dragons are known to claim a stake in certain areas and fight with anyone who would oppose them. The largest mountain in the world was once a site for such a battle when 47 dragons all claimed the same perch as their own. The resulting destruction turned the entire mountain into a charred slab of glass that would mark the tombs of roughly 40 of the greatest wyrms to ever exist. Since then, no living creature has dared step foot within sight of the oversized headstone out of sheer fear of what may remain. Not even the most foolish treasure hunters have the brass to test their luck at its summit.
