Mouse Guard Holy Sh*t!
« on: June 16, 2009, 12:18:21 PM »
Decided to join a campaign of Mouse Guard. Had my doubts after the ubercrunch that was BW. I was blown away after the first session. It seemed that the system was able to draw the best out of everybody at the table. While the WW simulationist(as we decided to call him after the first session) grumbled for a while regarding the needless abstraction of Player Turn vs GM Turn, this structure of the game along with the easy conflict resolution rules led to some amazing fun.

I recommend this game for anyone who decided that BW was just too much effort, and formally forgive Luke Crane everything else he has done.

Would you be willing to expand on that a little? My group has been hesitant to try BW, but some seem willing to give Mouse Guard a try, if for its flavor alone.
