Welcome to The Good, the Bad, and the Undead!

This is the thread for out of character discussion.  If you must make OOC comments in the main game thread, please keep it in a spoiler block.

I'll be using italicized red for GMing instructions.
and I'll be using teal for NPC dialogue.

As we have discussed, I have a few things that I need to tweak on my PC sheet. I'll get them fixed this week.

I'll take green, fitting considering my character's heritage. :P

Maroon for me, since I probably see so much of it then.

Alright, we're all ready and the ball is rolling.  Do you guys have any questions about the campaign setting you'd like answered?  While you guys were working on your characters I've been doing a bunch of research on the time period, as well as watching horror movies, so my mind is infused with the lore we'll be going with.

As I've mentioned before, the campaign is heavily based on the Spaghetti Westerns and the show Supernatural, so if you haven't seen them, you really should go check 'em out.

I've seen my fair share of Spaghetti Westerns. I'll have to check out Supernatural, however...

Have any of us encountered friendly shadow creatures, or are they all just monsters? I'm probably prying at the plot, though. >_>

Is there anything culturally different about this alt. history involving the shadow, or is it prettymuch what the US was back in the late 1800's?

Those who have encountered "shadow creatures" have not had any positive experiences with them.  Even people who haven't had an encounter may or may not be superstitious enough to believe in ghosts or the bogeyman or what have you.

For those who haven't encountered anything supernatural, it's the regular "real world" circa 1898.

Quick note here, but I'm probably going to be posting slightly less often for the next six weeks or so as I'll be at Governor's School. I'll try to maintain at least 1-2 posts a day (assuming the network lets me through).

No worries.  Just to let you guys know ahead of time, I'll be away from July 12th-16th, so don't panic if the game takes a pause at that point.

Now that the game has jumped into action, any feedback?

I'm also considering a new type of initiative method: since not everybody will log on in the right order, it might speed things up to do group initiative.  That way, when it's the group's turn to go, anyone can post whenever the log in, regardless of who got the higher roll.  (still only one turn per round, of course)  What do you think?

That's okay with me, although I think normal Initiative could work as well as long as the posting tempo stays as it is with this game and the Artifact game. I'm fine with either, really :)

Also, where can I get one of those 'Wild West Dirty Harry'-style huge-ass revolvers? :P

Yeah, so far the posting pace has been pretty good!

Huge-ass revolvers?  You mean the man in black's 16" Buntline Special? :p

It's a mastercraft/modified Peacemaker.
Lengthened Barrel: range +10, -2 to init checks for fast-draw, weapon size increases by one step, -2 to gunplay tricks
Detachable Stock: +2 to hit past the first range increment, now considered a longarm
Custom Sights: +2 to hit past the first range increment (again)

Basically it's a sniper pistol.
Up close it's not so useful but at a distance it's killer!  :smirk

I'm reminded of the Red9 from Resident Evil 4... I loved that gun... *sniff* I wish we had a "really, I'm not a rifle" gun in 5...

Bow - not to be net-nanny or whatever, but j0lt already said to keep any OoC talk that must be posted in the main thread into spoiler tags. You may want to edit your post.
