I've heard a ton about the two being used together, but never quite figured out how. Contingency only lets you pair it with spells of 6th level. Is there a prestige class/magic item Im missing that lets you put a 9th level spell in there?
A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

+1 Lycanthromancer
Yeah. Psions get temporal acceleration (a 6th level power similar to time stop), meaning they can use the psionic version of contingency.Of course, it's one of the stronger power combinations, but they need something nice at SOME point...right?
Thrallherd < Incantatrix
My brother was playing a venerable dragonwrought kobold Incantatrix in my friends' weekly game, wherein the DM is oblivious to min/maxing and not entirely versed in power balance (we usually blow through his encounters until he hits us with something truly nasty). Suffice it to say, he banned Incantatrix after 3 game sessions. He was definitely planning on working his way toward Time Stop shenanigans. Of course, my brother only built the character out of spite because the DM wouldn't let him play a Dread Necromancer, thinking it was 'overpowered', but when my brother suggested playing a straight-out Wizard, the DM said OK.
