Another thing about PbP games that might make you feel more comfortable, is that they rarely focus on combat, since combat takes SO BLOODY LONG in a PbP game.

Be careful, Jolt...Tome of Battle is what got me into optimization in the first place =P

By the way, PBP games can be a time commitment, since most expect about 4-5 posts a week - it's only 5-10 mins a day, but it can be a drag sometimes when you're not in the mood to post but you don't want to hold up the group.
