Golden Bozos 2007 Nominations
« on: November 27, 2007, 12:49:29 PM »
The Golden Bozo is an award for the best use of a Boob or Boobies in a tabletop game.  We will give out two (of course).

Currently I am thinking "Best Art Of" and "Best Use Of."

Eligible products are any published Tabletop game material released in 2007.

I nominate "Pathfinder" from Paizo to the running.

Gamemastery is one of their product lines, an Adventure Path are related adventures to take the players from 1st - 20th level (basically their term for a self contained campaign).

You know, assuming things always gets me in trouble.

I assumed that everyone would know about Paizo and Gamemastery, so it would be impolite of me to explain.

Paizo is the company that used to make Dungeon and Dragon magazines.  Now WotC has recalled those products.  Paizo used to have a singular advantage, they could use "official" WotC material.  Now they no longer have that crutch.

Some people would just fold the company, or turn it exclusively to an online store.  Paizo instead cranked the creativity and delivered some really cool products.  Maybe they are too expensive, maybe people want something more or different.  But if you want a decent DnD adventure right now your choices are either to write it or get something from Gamemastery.

And they have boobies.

Thanks

I haven't had a chance to see the new Pathfinder magazine, since I live in a small frozen town where there is no gamestore anymore.

Not a big enough d&d fan to order it in.

Boobies are good.

For the first award, can we pick great historic RPG BOOBIES?  I can't find anything released this year that is as good as the one already nominated and there are just a ton of great BOOBIES througout the history of gaming.

If that is done, I want to suggest the Ironclaw RPG for the historic award.  I know there are several others, but that is the first one that I came up.  If it has to due with the history of the hobby, you knew I had to post.

I do have a 2007 Entry, Gold Digger the Comic book Source Book has potential RPG stats for all the characters.  If you have ever seen the art work of Fred Perry, then you know his work will qualify for this award.

We could get significant mileage out of a lifetime achievement award, in addition to the standard award.

So maybe the two awards are "Lifetime Achievement/Classic" and "New release"?

I'd like to see more nominations for the 'new' award (because I think this is a fun concept), but I can't find any.  Help.

Avalanche Press takes it for sure for this category in Lifetime achievement.

Just check them out:

Obviously this must be nominated.

Though it is a boobie contest not a nudity contest.

Concerning Meg's choice . . . do those four boobies trump the two I posted . . . . ?  More isn't always better.  Remember Total Recall?  Three wasn't better than two!

I must be old and jaded, since I find myself more interested in the gaming content than the boobies.
Wait, I take that back. It isnt a function of age.Consider this:At age  thirteen I traded a  windfall of Playboy magazines for a short stack of Dragon magazines. To this day I feel like I took advantage of the guy...

Porn gets old after a while.  There are only so many spanks you can get out of any given picture.  Even interracial three-way GGB midget amputee popshots get boring after a while.

The point is that in trading old porn to someone for dragon magazines is a good plan.  But, boobs in gaming books is like having your cake and spanking it as well.  Good art is either inspiring like "the persistence of memory" or sexy like the "Mona Lisa."  (She was called Mona for a reason.)
