I also notice that animals from the ECS, including dinosaurs, were not included.

Tier 5: An expert cartographer or a decent marksman.
Tier 4: An expert marksman.

Tier 2: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything, or the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.

Note that the higher Con of Hybrid/Animal form is used for calculating hp for ANIMAL HD ONLY!!!  This is better than it not being counted at all, but not as nice as it being calculated for all HD.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Woo, guide necromancy.

Then post them up!  If anyone notices anything that isn't here that should be, give me a list and I'll get it added.

Eh, I didn't see a point in adding that to my Things to Remember post since that is pointed out pretty specifically in the template.  It is something to remember however.

Um... Were-murder-of-crows has listed a fairly brutal strength penalty, while other low-strength forms, like the simple cat, don't have any penalties listed at all.  Can you take physical penalties to your hybrid form or no?

You don't take the penalties.

However, I'm not even sure if the Murder of Crows is a legal target for Lycanthropy, seeing as how it's composed of multiple creatures.  Sure, RAW it is, since the template makes no mention of the Swarm Subtype as being barred, but I don't think anyone would allow it.

Well, technically, it is one creature until killed, so there shouldn't be any issues.

You don't take the penalties.

Wait... what? I'm pretty sure you get negative stat mods if the base animal's stats are low enough.

It makes sense that you wouldn't.  I mean, having a halfling werecat suddenly become wildly weaker for taking hybrid form would be bizarre and crappy.  Taking a level mod of three in order to gain the option of taking a -8 strength penalty isn't exactly stellar.

I see no reason that says you wouldn't gain the negative stat mods.  Any discrepancies in my data are related to the fact that I just compiled it all, I didn't actually add any animals as far as I remember.

VV, the response is don't be a halfling werecat.  Just because it is possible doesn't make it a good idea.

Yet at the same time, the halfling werecat without the negative stat mods is far closer to what an ECL creature should be.  Garbage, but not garbage eating massive penalties.  And even from a logical standpoint, why in the world would, when turning into a half-feline monstrosity, would the werecat become so hideously weak that she could hardly lift ten pounds?

Because he just made himself half housecat and went down a size category.

improve according to its kind, as set out in the table below" (bolded for emphasis).  It does not say "are adjusted", it says "improve".  I would go onto the example lycanthropes they have, but none of those animals have below a 10 in any physical attribute, so no argumment can be based off of them one way or another.

So it is debatable.  Ask your DM.

There is no question that Phynxkin is a legal target for lycanthropy, but it brings up a question: does a werephinxkin gain the Dragonblood Subtype?

That's fuzzy, but I'd say yes. Just to be safe, better start as a dragonborn before getting bit.

Wow. That is so retarded it is almost incomprehensible. It goes against every convention in D&D regarding constitution changes and hit points.

Where does it say that it only applies to the animal HD? I can't find the exact passage.

Bah, cool as it is, this is such an annoying template...
