I'll get around to it, I'm just being lazy and was looking for Lycan specific stuff to start with.   :P

Lycanthropes can obviously make good monks or at least make a monk-dip worthwhile.

There the Moon Guardian PrC in the Complete Divine web enhancement. It sucks, but it's the only specific afflicted lycanthrope PrC I can think of.

edit: oh wait, you've got that one already. I guess if you weren't concerned about casting, then pair it up with Ordained Champion and get a bit more mileage out of Wis?

Can you use racial emulation to emulate a creature with a template?

I talk about that in the linked thread.

It's TO any way you slice it, really, but it's still interesting.

Let me just say that we disagree.

Casting: Ur-Priest ;)
Ur-priest doesn't mix all that well with Ordained Champion (viable (I think?), but you lose out on some benefits unless you finagle domains in somehow), and it is outright incompatible with Moon Guardian.

I know, I know. Just mentioned it for those Lycanthropes that want 9th level spells ;)
Also, Contemplative and/or Hexer for some bonuses to your spell list are a given :)

Now you're going into general tips which have nothing to do with Lycanthropes.   :P

Not short, just limited in scope.  This is a Lycanthropy guide, not a guide to everything that might possibly be useful to a Lycanthropy character.   :P

I didn't realize that lycanthropes had to be within one size of the base creature.  I now need to find a large-sized race that the players wont automatically kill on sight for my planned were-tyrannosaur encounter.

Half-Giant, but that's another +2 LA (+1 if the DM allows the SS version instead of the RoD version).

How do Anthropomorphic - Animals , fit into this ??

I'm always partial to Ardent, fitting well with up to 4 MLs lost.
Ur + Ardent into Mystic Theurge also works.

IIRC anthros are Monstrous Humanoids. Play an anthropomorphic wolf werewolf.
My work
The tier system in a nutshell:
Tier 6: A cartographer.
Tier 5: An expert cartographer or a decent marksman.
Tier 4: An expert marksman.
Tier 3: An expert marksman, cartographer and chef who can tie strong knots and is trained in hostage negotiation or a marksman so good he can shoot down every bullet fired by a minigun while armed with a rusted single-shot pistol that veers to the left.
Tier 2: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything, or the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.
Tier 1: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything and the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.
IIRC, Monstrous Humanoids is not a viable type for Lycanthropy

I believe it's humanoids and giants only.

I disagree about it being so important to keep the animal and base creature the same size. All magic items automatically resize to fit their wearer by default, except for armor and weapons. The weapons won't matter much for natural weapon based builds, and there are ways around the armor problem also, like using a Monk's belt (or taking monk levels) or a Skin of Ectoplasmic Armor. If you want to use weapons, you can get the Sizing enhancement, or just carry around two weapons of different sizes, also (or just eat the -2 penalty for using an inappropriately sized one).

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
