Selectra chimes in "No, no, that could work!  I know one of the captains of the guard.  His name is Ezekial Ramien.  His house is over near the government district just on the other side of the bridge.  Here..."  She scrawls down a note, then pours some wax on it, and stamps it with her ring.

"Take this with you, if you want to talk with him.  I really do have some other matters to attend to, but if you could meet me back here, say, around 9 pm, I'd gladly like to talk with you about anything you find out.  I have a dinner engagement, but afterwards should be free.  Karanken, could you escort them through the city?"

Karanken talks in a deep, booming voice, with an unusual accent.  "Lady, I should be at your side..."

"Stuff and nonsense!  These people need your presence more than I!"

"Do you all need anything else?"

Greth, Professor K
Sense Motive indicates that Karanken is definitely very obedient to Selectra and wants to help her.
Everyone
Sense Motive does not reveal any ill-intent here, still.
"I don't think we'll need any more assistance for the moment. However, it would be wise if we did not go at a group. We'd attract... attention."

"Ssome of the lesss consspicuouss membersss of our little Rakhma should go talk to the Captain, yesss? Is this captain within a mile of our current location? We can send a psicrystal with you to stay in contact, if so. If not, perhaps we should use a Mindlink?" Greth stares unblinking and waits for a reply.

"Psicrystal," Adrian replies, with almost indecent haste.

"Ah, so you find it distasssteful to be linked to the minds of otherss? Interesssting."

Greth smiles a toothy grin and then says "Very well, then. I guess even if the Captain is over a mile from here, we can form a Mindlink with someone less... sssqueamish? Unless you plan to speak to the Captain alone..."

Baragos looks at the group and crosses his arms over his chest, "Less conspicuous is an extremely relative term when talking about this group... Who do you have in mind?"

"Hazael and the Professssor should have no problems blending in around here, either. It is I, you, and Dragon that will probably draw sstares.

Since we may have already drawn unwanted attention from this Shadow Den, perhaps more than one of us should go, for ssafety."

"well, I know the group's heavy on glowing eyes and mumbo jumbo, and I know what such power can do, but... I'm, for all intents and purposes, just a big elf as far as most people should be able to tell, and I'm good with a sword. I should probably go with them, being possible the least conspicuous of the conspicuous people here... short of putting a heavy robe on one of you two..." Baragos says. His stance clearly displays his regard of all the standing around he's been doing, and the fact that he dearly wants to go do something, whether it be play guard duty to the mystics, or just go have a drink.

"It would be good to have some backup. Perhaps Baragos, Hazael, and the Professor should be the ones to make the trip - disguised, of course."

Hazael grins at the glowing eyes comment. Heheh, Ah can turn these things off. The blue fades leaving his bright gray eyes to show, and seems to make his tattoo and pierced visage more prominent. Kanatash, Adrian, and myself all seem to be the only human-looking folks among us. No offense, but I think elves might be a bit out of place here, especially giant brutes such as yourself. he says, looking at Baragos.

Add Perform (weapon drill) to the fighter and swashbuckler lists of class skills

You totally just fixed these two classes. I had no idea it would be so simple.

It's just as well, I'd like to keep my perch nearby.

Where should we meet after you have obtained the items you need?

I will be finding my own lodgings regardless. I am not comfortable sleeping anywhere within this city.

I say we strike out for the Keep and dig up what we can. We can use Psylar (cloaked and virtually undetectable, of course) or we can infiltrate other ways. But I believe that time would be better served by acting quickly. The Professor gives an affirmative, slight nod.
OOC-well for that matter he could just ride on my sword, that's about 15' ;)
OOC - That's what SHE said!  But, otherwise, that works for me, if you guys are willing.
