Alright, bringing this up because it affects everyone with me being the DM. I'm going to be on vacation,
without internet access, for about 3+ weeks, starting in June (about the 15th), and then on and off until the end of August, when I go away to business school (which then presents its own time issues). Obviously, this is going to have a large impact on the campaign world, and the campaigns themselves, because I won't be around to DM. I will come back and continue to DM in those periods when I do have internet access, but that may slow the campaigns too much for some players. I'll be DMing at the normal pace (or an increased one, if possible), for the campaigns until I do pause.
There is, of course, the matter of what to do when I am not around. Some choices are presented below, and I'll add more as I think of them.
Options for the dead time:
- Bring in another DM: Have someone else take over much of the storyline and day to day business, with me handing over as much story as possible. This increases railroading, however.
- Inter-Party Conflict: Having you guys fight between the groups, if interested.
