[Old] Play style

It doesn't matter what order players post in - everyone does their thing, then the DM does his thing, sorting out the sequence of events as he does. Initiative rolls are made by the DM.


Japanese characters are expected to use honorifics when speaking to each other in Japanese (you can throw in words like "baka" too, just leave it comprehensible). You guys all know your honorifics, right? ;)

Expect (and employ) Shout Outs to... well, everything.

Everyone, PC and NPC, is assumed to have some weird code of honour which involves holding your most powerful abilities in reserve for the first few rounds. Also, feel free to Call Your Attacks.

Don't worry about dying in this game - if your hp falls to -10, assume that 4Kids edited that part and you just have to spend a few days recovering.

Tier 4: An expert marksman.
Tier 3: An expert marksman, cartographer and chef who can tie strong knots and is trained in hostage negotiation or a marksman so good he can shoot down every bullet fired by a minigun while armed with a rusted single-shot pistol that veers to the left.
Tier 2: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything, or the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.

Hahaha, I'll try and be as clear as possible... what do you mean you can't speak multiple languages ( ;))? About that, do I pick Elven/Dwarven/etc, or Japanese/English/Hungarian/etc?

Also, I just tried to fix whatever I'd fucked up on in my character sheet, because obviously something was wrong with how I typed the spoilers, and I couldn't figure it out...  :banghead

Nah, I'm primarily just going to be avoiding using honorifics, and occasionally throwing in [untranslatable] or odd grammar... unless it would be funnier

Modern-day languages, or languages spoken wherever your character comes from.

Oh, I'm halving the number of bonus languages you get from Intelligence though *edits that in*.

Wasn't there an anime where in one scene the charcter gets pissed off that they're subtitled when they're speaking the subs language, and it's a joke that their accent is so bad they can't be understood? I remember this almost vividly enough to recall the show...

Well Breath of Fire 3(?) had a scene where they allowed you to watch it again in English for those that don't speak Australian.
