As you look around at the people there are three women and eight men, but yes... they do appear to need some serious care, the kind you're not equiped to give.

"Yes. Yes we should. But we can't carry them so we need to wait a while until they get back on their feet. I recommend food and water. Who brought some?"
I thought he could reply telepathically to the psicrystal.
Khas hands the man some parchment and a quill and ink, all from his backpack.
A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

Wood
Yes, but they would disappear from your stomach after eight hours which is the downside
Khas
I was always under the impression normal people could only listen, not reply, I don't mind being proven wrong though
The man takes the parchment and quill, his hands shake and it appears to take tremdous effort on his part to keep them steady to dip in the ink pot. It takes him about a minute to scrawl messily in large print, "Spider ambush, torture, thank you." The quill is dropped and the man relaxes his arms with a sigh.
There's no real specific ruling on what happens. It says that the psicrystal can "communicate," which tells us nothing about what that means. It doesn't specify whether or not a "comnunicatee" can, in fact, respond to the psicrystal, but I'd say it should be able to because one way communication is barely useful at all.
"I have 10* days worth of rations left, which should be enough to at least feed everyone a bit. We'll need to find water, but I bet there is some down in that gorge. It will be work hauling it up here, though. If we can get them on their feet in a day, maybe we can escort them back to town.

Wait... wasn't there an army encampment near here? Maybe they can take over care of these people. They probably are more capable of it than we are, at least.

"I can forage well enough to feed six without issue on our way back to the village, which shouldn't be too far off. Lets just bring them to the village first, it's not that far and I doubt they're up to monsters."
Aquinas inspects the injuries, wondering if his spells could fix them, then sets his staff on the foul altar after sweeping the herbs and gems into his pack, letting the acid flowing from the dragon fang on it's end corrode the unholy thing beyond repair.

Picking up the drow's spellbook and the harp, Aquinas waves them vaguely.
"So, anyone particularly interested in any of this stuff or we just pile it up and split the cash later?"
I've got a Survival mod of +10, taking 10 gives me food for myself and 5, which with my everlasting rations means 6.
Do we need more healing? I've got a Mass Lesser Vigor and a full charge Healing belt in my pack left.
Also, Takanaki, I managed to misremember my speed, it was 30ft lol, was only light encumbrance.

It's also a little cold because of that.

"Just what do you think the moon up in the sky is? Everyone sees that big, round shiny thing and thinks there must be something round up there, right? That's just silly. The truth is much more awesome than that. You can almost never see the real Moon, and its appearance is death to humans. You can only see the Moon when it's reflected in things. And the things it reflects in, like water or glass, can all be broken, right? Since the moon you see in the sky is just being reflected in the heavens, if you tear open the heavens it's easy to break it~"

@Veekie
That Mass Lesser Vigor should patch these people up, if they aren't already from Osric wasting using that Wand of Lesser Vigor on them. I'm only 5 hp down from max, and still have 1 charge left on my own Healing Belt. So I'm ok, but if you want to pop off that MLV, I won't complain. ;)

I wasn't sure if they were even capable of walking back to the village at this point.
The ex-captives will need to rest for a good eight hours before they'll be in any condition to start the walk back to the village, at which point they'll be able to move at a slow march so long as you take good care to help them over any rough terrain. It would likely be a full days walk back to town that way, they can't move too quickly in their condition after all. As for fetching water from the gorge, it's incredibly deep but Veekie could fly down there.

They've all survived this long in bad condition so going a while without full rations or water probably won't kill them, in fact, they're probably used to eating and drinking little by this point.

Since we are resting, I shall use one Lesser Vigor and a charge on my healing belt to heal 11+7 damage, and rest for the night.

"Our psicrystals do not sleep, can see in the dark, and mine can see minds, even if they are hidden behind walls. They can watch for us the entire time we sleep. Their range of vision is fairly short, though. So it might not hurt to alternate having another of us watching with them.

I will place my psicrystal at the entrance so it will detect anyone who enters. I myself need at least 8 hours of rest to recuperate my powers, so I would like to take either a first or last watch. We should also make sure there are no other entrances to this cavern, hidden or otherwise. I am terrible at finding such things, though."

"Very well...  But I will not trust my safety to trinkets.  There are plenty of mindless beasts that would have us for dinner, too, in this savage land.  I fought a nasty group of creatures, my friend said they were undead, powered by energy from the dark planes, in southern Kastuul.  The beasts definitely had not a thought for tactics at all, which surely led to their defeat, but they were relentlessly strong creatures!"

Al-Kassir shudders, and brushes off his sleeves, a Kalstunian expression roughly meaning "glad to be done with it".

"Do any of you others require uninterrupted rest?  I shall keep an eye on our group for a few hours around midnight, then.  I forget - is there a healer among you?  I have this nasty spider bite, right here..."

Glissara stoicly answers: "I require no sleep. Although it is protocol for me to shut down for a rest period, our immediate safety overrides that protocol. I can stand watch for this cycle."

"I cannot help with the repairing; You organisms are too pulpy, a flaw that your creators have yet failed to rectify."

health issues:
Not sure about ability damage, but I'm down to 20 HP - I don't think the character sheet was accessible to Tak...  Uhm, 2 charges lesser resto, maybe, for ease of bookkeeping? OK, Tak?
Healing OOC:
Veekie has a fully charged Belt of Healing, and I have one with 1 daily charge left. Veekie also has a Mass Lesser Vigor spell prepared. We should use those renewable resources before we start burning charges off our wands, don't you guys think?
