The stew is devoured post haste and you're all ready to move out, apparently nobody needs any more supplies so it's off to the mountains you go. Nobody bought a map so it gets a little tricky at times, but with a Druid in the group you'll no doubt find your way to the gigantic mountain range without too much fuss.
The foothills are pretty quiet as you exit the village, it takes several hours before the woodland greens would begin to part to the rocks of mountain foothills and even much of the mountains themselves were devoted to greenery at this time of year. By about two in the afternoon you get to a mesa about a quarter of the way up one of the mountains, from there you can see over the nearby range for a fair distance.
The range appears to be split down the middle by a deep ravine, on the other side you can see a military camp that's fairly sizable. Without a doubt it's the ones clearing out space for new mining expansions you had heard about before. In the sky you can see some kind of strange conical shaped creatures flying fairly high up, there's about ten of them ranging from ten to thirty feet long just floating in the direction the wind takes them.

No beasties swiping at you just yet, only typical wildlife in the foothills and those things floating high above. You're barely a few hours out of town though, plenty more mountain to cover before you can expect to start feeling the comforting blanket of civilisation slip away from you and the foothills fade into the distance or out of sight. Where in the mountains would you travel, high? low? in search of caves? following clues or sounds or just randomly walking further and further from town. It would be up to you to decide where you ventured, and when to stop and rest.
(OOC: It's up to you to tell me what kind of places you're heading towards, it's up to you to roll skill checks if you think it's necessary, it's up to you to tell me if you stop and rest/sleep/eat or i'm likely to assume you haven't. Same for daily buffs or if you're flying, mentioning it in the charsheet section by editing your original post with the info is best.)
