Naberius Grin's once more upon this thread.

Feat - Body Fuel: Recover 2 power points by taking 1 point of ability burn damage to each Str, Dex, and Con.
Ah! Maddness. Thank you.

Isn't ability burn really hard to get rid of?

Yeah. It specifically says it can't be healed magically. Since I think Naberius' fast ability healing is a Su ability, it wouldn't work IMO.

Yeah. It specifically says it can't be healed magically. Since I think Nabarius' fast ability healing is a Su ability, it wouldn't work IMO.

Indeed. Ability Burn is natural healing only.

Of course, shifting to a plane with a different timespan probably doesn't count as magical healing.

EDIT: Ability burn also explicitly states that if you prevent the damage somehow you don't gain the benefits. This is actually good because it means that unless an ability/spell/feat states otherwise, you CAN prevent detrimental effects and benefit.

There are more Sanctified Spells in Champions of Valor, though I've not checked to see if they are any different from those in the BoED.

Thanks, I've added the CoV spells. Visions of Punishment is pretty nice for a level 1 spell. Swift action, nauseates for 1 round/3 CL, sickens if they make the save. Downside is that it's mind-affecting. It's also an oddball offensive divination spell (hello Unseen Seer).

edit: also of note, clerics can spontaneously cast any sanctified spell. I'm sure that will find a use in a build somewhere.

Hell, with Naberius you can create a vast army of Lantern Archons, albeit they'll only serve you for a short while.  Help shore up the forces of Heaven against the assaults of Hell.

Here's a quick build I put together that combines a lot of the methods listed in this thread (corrupt spells, vile feats) and also makes a pretty decent party face.  Transmuter would get more of the corrupt spells, but a lot of them are kind of...meh...

NE Necropolitan Gray Elf Binder 1/Enchanter 3/Anima Mage 10/Master Specialist 4/Fatespinner 2

ACFs:
- (Drop necromancy, evocation)
- Social Proficiency (UA)
- Elven wizard (3rd)

Familiar: Hummingbird (+8 initiative) or Sea Snake (+6 to bluff)

28 PB:
Str: 6
Dex: 14
Con: -
Int: 20
Wis: 8
Cha: 15

Feats:
1st flaw: Improved Binding
1st flaw: Extend Spell
1st char: Evil Brand
1st vile: Chosen of Evil
2nd bonus: Scribe Scroll
3rd char: Dark Speech
5th vile: Dark Whispers
6th char: Filthy Outburst
9th char: Persistent Spell
10th vile: Insane Defiance
12th char: Quicken Spell
15th char: Spell Focus (Enchantment)
15th vile: Enemy of Good
18th char: Arcane Mastery
20th vile: Evil's Blessing

EDIT: Actually, the build didn't work so well with necropolitan, since he doesn't have any Con to sacrifice :P  Edited to change that.

Stigmata has a weird clause that prevents it from being healed though. You have to wait an hour for the "bleeding" to stop, during which time it can't be healed. I think this is one instance where Strongheart Vest works better.

Being undead is optimal, though.

How's that work with being undead? Since you don't have a Con score, you're not able to take Con damage, and the feat is very specific that its effects are based on the Con damage you take.

Alternatively, I could point out that obscure rule I found when I was digging for things for the Iron Siege where you use Cha whenever a special ability requires Con, which applies in this case IIRC... which I can no longer find. Shit, that was pretty key for any undead challengers, too.
So you end up stuck in an endless loop, unable to act, forever.

In retrospect, much like Keanu Reeves.

That's been my default rule as well.  It's sort of a pseudo house rule -- I'm sure I got it from somewhere, though it's not clearly spelled out anywhere that I can recall.  It'd be great if you could find the source.

I think it does work well, and IIRC it's what they do nowadays for undead Concentration checks.

The SRD specifically lists concentration as using your Cha modifier if you're undead. http://www.d20srd.org/srd/typesSubtypes.htm#undeadType

It makes no mention of any other Con skill being replaced with Cha. I have not seen a ruling for anything other than concentration.

Ah, ok, now I've found it. It's MM pg 293, and the exact wording is "Also use Charisma for any DC that normally would be based on an ability score the creature does not have." which obviously doesn't apply here. It only worked for that check in the Iron Siege by technicality of the DC for Iron Curtain being based on the attacker's Con, and I misremembered the applicability. My bad.
