Focused Transmuter for spamming polymorph.
OOC-well for that matter he could just ride on my sword, that's about 15' ;)
OOC - That's what SHE said!  But, otherwise, that works for me, if you guys are willing.

Ok so to bring this thread back up I had some new questions:

I want to go the crafting route, Im 8th level and have a feat to spare. I'm looking for a guide to crafting, and also help with deciding whether or not I should take the craft feats myself, or take leadership and have my cohorts craft, or what have you. I really want some int boosting items, and things that will prolong the day for my focused specialist. So X of spell storing or something of the sort.

Really I need some help. I've never made a crafter before.

You could get an artificer cohort... or a psion (with Psychic Reformation) cohort.

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

You could always combine two of those suggestions (three really), Psificer Cohort with Wrights :D  That way he's still got all his crafting capability, and he can come along with (or stay behind and expedite the process).  Also...don't suppose you/the DM is familiar with Rashemi characters, are/is you/(he/she)?  You have absolutely every spell conceivable on tap, why not make them spontaneous too?  Acorn of Far Travel, name some random hut in Rash as home, and declare it your embassy (thanks TML!).  Hell, with the overtones I'm getting, you're basically a Netherese Arcanist, so even go so far as to adopt the title Karsus the Second or something, with the theme of actually becoming a god, as he did (if only fleetingly).

It's a core only game, unfortunately.

But...all spells from all sources are available?  And feats from others can be used too (e.g. Arcane Thesis is getting a lot of talk on this thread)?  What are the specific restrictions?  Is it only Classes/PrC's that are limited?  And more specifically, what is admissable from other sources?

All spells from all sources are available to me. Feats can be taken from other sources as long as I clear it with the DM. I get very little magic items, but an ass ton of money. There are no magic marts. I have nothing to spend excess cash on. Classes and PrC are limited to the core.

Gorgeous starting point, and tells me that even if it's a cohort wizard (as in if he won't allow cohorts to be classes other than core) it'll give you a chance to still adventure while the factory gears up.  If you can get it automated with constructs (easier given the mass sum of money available, and if he allows location feats you can buy up a ton of them), even better.  Also, is he allowing ACF's?  Wizard 5 with Spontaneous Divination on an Elven Generalist (though I wanna say you mentioned he won't let the Elven Hummingbird fly) sounds sexy, given the circumstances, and given the lack of extra nice stuff for specialists, loses the least.  Also, is UA allowed?  Domain Wizard I consider to be far superior to Specializing if there isn't a lot available.  Does he know about the DMM errata?  If so, crap.  If not, build some nightsticks and persistify til you're blue in the face.  Got Ocular?  Get it if you can :)  Since you're crafting, might as well think of (CL #) nasty things you'd rather not happen to you, and craft a contingent spell for each one.  Maybe (CL #-1) to allow for a contingency on the contingencies, with the actual spell for something else.  How does he feel about researching new spells?  Ever wanted a Tenser's Transformation that's actually worth a shit?  See if you can research one based on ToB mechanics (i.e. you unlock the "magic' of blade wizardry).  Maybe three scaling ones (3/6/9) that grant progressively better stuff, and the capstone basically making you a non-race bound valkyrie.  Just a few suggestions/ideas.  Gold makes everything easier, and so long as you're not at risk of dying from old age (which no wizard worth his spellbook should be) you can layer it on thicker than a Tarrasque hide.

Step 1: Get an enveloping pit from the MIC.

Step 2: Fill it with all your useless gold

Step 3: Attach it to the ceiling above your opponent.

Step 4: UMD, say the command word, and deal 20d6 damage + pin an opponent beneath a cavein.

No problem is insoluble if you throw enough gold at it.

Was actually considering it for an arena game on a drunken master character that dual-wielded deceased ponies.

Because there's nothing better than beating up with a dead horse.

Because I'm only 8th level after a year of playing. It's hard for me to imagine how much wealth I would accumulate if I actually got to a place where I could use them.
