[thank you Gentlemen]The trip back to the village of Orino Perro wasn't anywhere near as eventful as the occurrences below and on the deck of
.
Pingo lead the way back, through the winding dirt foot trails that often ran alongside portions of the riverbank. Again, a steady rainfall continued to soak the three men, and their hog-tied corpse, to the proverbial bone. With the heat it was near impossible to tell what had begun as sweat or rain.
A winding three quarters of a mile brought the trio back to the northern boundaries of the small village. No one was around to greet the men. Passing by the 'Grateful Goat Tavern', they could still see through the wide open entranceway that the loaded pack mules were still tied up inside, along with Esteban & Paco's horse.
The three of you start to hear some low sounds of conversation emanating from the stone church. Then continuing, you see two village women carrying clay pots upon their heads, heading in the direction of the well. They look at you with mixed looks of hesitation and curiosity... until they spy what the men have dragged back with them.
They shriek at the sight of Muta's bloodied, and battered corpse. Screaming, they drop their pots to the mud, and flee to the church, jabbering in Spanish, but overlapping in their fright it sounded like gibberish.
A few moments after they rush into the church, Richard Jameson with his Buffalo rifle strides out the front door, looking for the source of alarm.
Then he sees the trio plus one corpse.
