I wonder what kind off carnage we could inflict if we were to unleash the power of all our archers and light artillery at once :P
Why don't we try and take over... Oh, let's say, Breland? :P

Yeah, wasn't even counting the extra 5d6+1 or so of damage each archer would get from a team of DFI-bards :)

And haven't looked at teamwork benefits, this was just from the Coordinated Archery feat paired with a group of 75 level 1 archers :D
Jesus Christ on a cracker! Ok, I guess high level characters do have to worry about archery volleys, now. Where is that feat from?

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

Coordinated Archery is from:  DR316 p84

Shame on dragon magazine. THat's ridiculous. Get enough archers together that have 1 use items of celerity and an army is now officially a threat to an epic character (Assuming that celerity bypasses their contingency somehow).

Still needs at least a +1 weapon to punch through some DR, but aside from that an army of followers seems to be pretty effective in taking on enemy armies of low-mid level. Heck, with that damage bonus you might be able to actually do at least some damage to some higher level characters.

Note that I used the basic description from Crystalkeep though, seeing as I don't have access to that particular Dragon Magazine at the moment. Since Crystalkeep has a few mistakes every now and then, I'd appreciate if someone with access to said Dragon Magazine could check if Crystalkeep isn't missing anything like a limit or something on the maximum possible bonus the feat grants.

With 75 attacks at over +148 to hit and +74 on Damage, both DR and AC are almost meaningless. You'd need to cast Magic Weapon on a couple quivers of arrows and pass them out, if you wanted them to demolish some incorporeal monsters, though.

I kind of hope you're reading that feat wrong, or crystalkeep has it wrong, or something. Because that's just ridiculous.

That's why I was looking for someone with acces to the original Dragon Magazine, to confirm that the feat is just that rediculous [sic?].

Sic. It's spelled with an i. (Ridiculous)
In any case, wasn't Boz banning Dragon except in specific circumstances that need to be checked with him first (like Targeteer)?

Well, if you really want an archer squad, you could get a warchanter cohort. Someone else could get a Kensai cohort, and give the Warchanter BAB, who then gives it to all the archers. :D

I don't think we should mess with the followers too much, though. D&D isn't really a mass combat game, and I am not familiar with the mass warfare rules that do exist in it (Heroes of Battle, right?). And having them actually do stuff in combat will just encourage enemies to kill them, and/or Boz to do equally insane things to us:bigeye

Agreed, I'm not that familiar with HoB either (and really don't feel like learning the mass combat rules either). I just made these basic follower builds for fun really, it only took me about 15 minutes per category...

How does one get a leadership score 22? I only managed to get mine to 16, and I have might makes Right and such.

Lucy has 10 from character level, 7 from Cha, and 5 from Admiral's Bicorne. Bowen probably also has the bonus from having a base of operations, which I discounted from Lucy because she very much moves around a lot (probably hangs with one of the other party members when the whole party isn't together), and very likely caused the death of one or more followers.

Reminds me, do you allow Magic-Blooded?

It is 0, IIRC. -2 Wis, +2 Cha, makes favored class sorcerer, again... from memory.

Yeah, that's it, also gives some 0/1 level SLA's 1/day IIRC.

It's also on crystalkeep. As far as I can recall, it's accurate.
