Well if you're going to be like that, I guess I have to submit some sort of character.  :P

Excellent :D

By the way, Jacemachine, how big of a concept do you want us to submit?
Any important stuff that really needs to be in there?

Tarotdragoon-- Russo sounds good. I'm a fan of Franken builds myself (one of the many reasons that I love Modern!)

I will tell you honestly that you really won't get any opportunities to use your piloting abilities in the prologue.

In Real Life, around the table the prologue averaged about three- five game sessions. The longest run for the Main Plot lastest over a year, and it crumbled only due to the marriage and newborn baby of one of my main players. No one wanted to continue if he wasn't there, so it kept getting put off and put off...

Terrain your PC's can be expected top traverse will be largely unexplored dense jungles, rivers, and swamps.

BowenSilverclaw, a quick few sentences to a paragraph really is all I require. I just need to get a grasp on what you'd like to do, and see how well that gels with my overall concept (Make sure that you don't waste skill points on things that will never get used, things that somehow break meta-plot, etc...)

Nanshork, I'd love to have you but if you really don't think that you're up for it, I'd understand. I've had to bow out of games myself in the past and it sucks. I won't hold it against you, and you'd be welcome to join us once the Main Artifact campiagn begins... On the other hand, I'm not keen to see BowenSilverclaw "break out the asshair"-- so maybe you'd better stick with us. ;P

You aren't falling behind quite yet-- You've got at least 4- 5 days to figure out what you'd like to do.

heh I wasn't expecting him to be able to, its just flavor mostly I have a habit of making useless or annoying characters, I excel at pissing off meta-gamers, not intentionally mind but my RP heavy chars tend to get in the way, sometimes more than they help
(No!! *jumps between bastard sword and goblin* don't kill the poor little goblin! He has as much right to live as you do!!)
I tend to take "player/character separation" as a feat at first level

don't worry though Mr Russo is all business

*copies and pastes his PM to jace since the character idea has been approved*

My character is a British Explorer in his early forties.  He fought in the first World War.  In between the wars he spent much of his time going on Safaris in Africa, going out and learning how to survive in the jungles and savannahs.   He recently served as a scout in Egypt in the Northern African Campaign.

Will go a mix of dedicated/ Explorer most likely.

Awesome!

We should have the actual game board set up pretty soon. I'll be able to set up the forum sections, such as Character Sheets, Game Props, Game Thread, and OOC Forum.

I can handle up to 2 more PC's, so if you guys happen to know any good players that you've gamed with in the past, feel free to see if they'd be interested. Otherwise, I think we can get started Wednesday with what we have already!

On a personal note, I just wanted to thank you guys for your response. I'm biased in thinking that "The Artifact" is something special, but from the responses I've had over the past few years, I'm pretty sure you guys will like it too.

For any of you guys interested, here's a link to a VERY old PbP that I ran once upon a time...

I find it amusing that I'm a better doctor than the Doctor.  :p

jOlt, you do know that the Machete is an archaic weapon and not a simple weapon right?

Crap, you're right!  lol

No worries, it isn't going to be used for fighting, mostly for clearing a trail.

If you read the character background, you'll see why "Dr." Loder isn't all that great a doctor.  :p

That's a pretty weak roll. Feel free to either roll it again, or take the average of the 2d4's.

*rolls again*

...2

Guess I'm going for the average then.  So five, my wealth bonus increases by two.

Hmm, now I need to figure out what a British big game hunter would have for gear besides a really big gun....
