Hm hm, if I abandon the original concept of Swift Hunter, I can probably do all that damage at longer range...Thouh it is a bit of a waste. How do you feel about the Chameleon class?

No classes that give vancian casting, remember?  (Facs actually have SLA's)  Though If you want that floating feat so badly, I won"t complain about a dip.

It occured to me that this "fix" for SOK: http://bleedingworld.wikidot.com/forum/t-45058

Would let you go Scout3/CC2/SOK1//x6/Prestige Ranger

Where X includes at least one level each of Healer and Incarnate.

F) Alertness -> retrain at some point, once you get the soulspark familiar
A1) Track
A3) Favored of the Companions
A6) Swift Hunter
B1) Point Blank Shot
B3) Rapid Shot
B6) Azure Enmity

Incarnate's alignment restrictions will probably be loosened- You can declare yourself either a "Good" or "Chaotic" Incarnate with a CG alignment.

Another thought that came to mind was running a Dragoon a la Tempest Stormwind's guide to a highly mobile fighter who also has significant skillmonkey ability.

The Little red riding hood?  That build could totally benefit from some Incarnum.  Airstep boots, Landshark boots, and that totemist soulmeld that lets you shift a move action ahead one turn... all good stuff.

If there's still room and time permits this game to launch, I'd like to throw my hat into the ring. It looks like the roles that most need filled are frontline warrior and healer. The build I'd most leaning toward at this point is:

Race: Duergar
Side A: Wildshape Ranger 5 / Master of Many Forms 1
Side B: Psychic Warrior 1 / Monk 2 / Psychic Warrior 2-4
Further progression:  MoMF 2-7 / Warshaper X

Idea #2 would riff off of Phaedrus' delightfully efficient dual casting build:

Race: ?
Side A: Favored Soul 6
Side B: Psion 5 / Anarchic Initiate 1
Further progression: Psychic Theurge 1-10

Or similarly:

Race: Aasimar
Side A: Favored Soul 5 / Church Inquisitor 1
Side B: Dragonfire Adept 6
Further progression: Eldritch Disciple 1-10
This build would require a conversion from Law to Chaos sometime during side B level 6. But that in itself could be a very cool storyline.

I'm not currently using any templates or anything like that...think I might be able to take a path from the Midnight book?

Can't have MOMF on both sides.   Can have 1 level dip instead of MOMF1, and start MOMF1 on side B.

Dragonfire adepts aren't required to be chaotic are they?  Reflavor ED for DFA instead of warlock and stay lawful.

Raven, what midnight book?  Not familiar with it.

There's a midnight campaign book, but basically, there are these various templates that you drop on your character to get small benefits to your character as you level up.

They are very much like bloodlines, from the UA book, but LA 0.

After looking at them though, it doesn't seem as if they would be a good fit. <shakes head>

There's been a family emergency thing for me. It's sapped the will to play in this for me. I'll have to back out of this. Sorry.

hey don't apologize, I won't be able to start really running this until next month due to travel, and that's assuming no more RL stuff crops up.  Stuff happens. We all know that.

I'd probably go with straight Wildshape Ranger then. But, if either re-flavoring monk or using the chaos monk variant (DR335 p88) is an option, a dip into barbarian is tempting. The thing is, losing just one level of wild shape at the outset would delay access to brown bear form for a long time.

That could be very cool. I've never played a FS or DFA before, so the novelty would be nice.

Hm. I have a question.

Could I take the Mulhorandi Divine Minion template (I mainly want the wild shape ability)? Then, could I take the Cheetah's Speed wild feat and pretty much have my base land speed set to 50'?

My intention was to use it with Strongheart Halfling to offset the normally slow (20') movement rate...

Another idea was taking Exalted Companion and a Blink Dog, but I'm not sure if the dog takes me with him when he dimension-doors.

And one last thing - will you allow the use of class variants from Dragon Magazine? I was thinking of the Targeteer fighter and the Solitary Hunter Ranger.
