Your movement to flank Grimolf distracts him, and your guisarme cuts a deep slash into his upper leg. From the blood slowly dripping down his face and the wounds you've seen him take, it is amazing that he is still standing; it must be pure rage and adrenaline keeping him upright.
Kaira runs forward and positions herself to strike...
Shadowhunter is up.
"Technically," Thorgrim and Einar aren't flanking Grimolf (by the rules, the line connecting both of your squares passes through the bottom and left sides of Grimolf's space). It's my opinion that the rules are incomplete in this regard; they account for "corners" (for example, if Nanshork were in space C-32, which would count as flanking), but not "middles" (as is occurring with you now; the imaginary line passes through the exact center of Grimolf's bottom side). I even measured the angles, and you're in more of a straight line now than if Nanshork were in C-32. Anyway, a long, wind-bag way of saying, "even though the rules technically say you aren't flanking, they are stupid, and you are."
