A170a: Not sure if it is in that book, I know it's in
the Draconomican (pg 83.) Happen to be looking at it right
now.

Q 168: Is there a feat or some other ability that does the opposite of versatile spellcaster? ie: split a higher level spell slot into two lower ones
A 168

No feats come to mind, but the Sorcerer-only spell Arcane Fusion and its Greater version from Complete Mage do.

Page bump
Q167: If I finish a non-epic PrC to its 10th level and have room for legacy champion, does it allow me to in essence gain the 11th level of that PrC [the PrC's epic progession]? I understand this won't help with epic feats or spellcasting, just with a class that gives more instances of pre-epic abilities.

Q171 Does Deflect Arrows feat (pg. 93 PHB) work against the Crystal Shard power (Expanded Psionics pg. 89)?

I very much *assume* it does completely RAW+RAI, but I want some outside perspective in case there is some player whine to go with my GM cheese.

RAW, it doesn't.  Otherwise

Quote
Exceptional Deflection [Epic]
Prerequisites

Dex 21, Wis 19, Deflect Arrows, Improved Unarmed Strike.
Benefit

You can deflect any ranged attacks (including spells that require ranged touch attacks) as if they were arrows.
would be useless.  RAI, go for it.

I seem to recall a feat where you could catch things you deflected as well... IIRC, it was from an argument discussion of how much damage the god of monks could get by meleeing with a disintegrate spell.

Very strictly RAW [I consider this the "retarded level" of reading], doesn't Deflect Arrows not even work on arrows because they are ammunition and not ranged weapons?

They're listed under the "Ranged Weapons" heading. That's good enough for me.

Text trumps table though!  :P

An arrow is only listed in the text as being used as an improvised melee weapon!  :twitch

And under the longbow etc. there is no mention of arrows!  :lmao

[Obvious sarcasm is obvious!  ;)]

The joys of D&D  :D

When the Psion in the party hits himself with over 20d6 of Crystal Shard goodness the table will get a good laugh.  :)

Snatch Arrows IIRC for 'normal' ranged attacks, not sure if there's an Epic version or something for spells/SLA's though...

Ah, well, since it says
" When using the Deflect Arrows feat you may catch the weapon instead of just deflecting it"
that makes the epic feat let you catch spells.

Q172:  What's the best throwing weapon for a Dungeoncrashing + Knockback Bloodstorm Blade?  Range probably being one of the biggest factors...

A172:From what I recall while building my throwing PsyWar, a harpoon from Frostburn has the best range for a thrown weapon.

Q173: What effects does aging have on a character with the Otherworldly feat?

Do Native Outsiders die from old age? Do they "age"? Can you be venerable?
OOC-well for that matter he could just ride on my sword, that's about 15' ;)

A 168: I don't recall the feat's name off-hand, but look in Lost Empires of Faerun.

Q174: Similar to 173: How does aging work for a kobold? How about a dragonwrought kobold? There seems to be mention of it working like a true dragon, but I can't seem to find any info on how a dragon's age cathegories work differently...

A174: Races of the Dragon page 39. That little footnote there tells you the max age for Dragonwrought Kobolds. ^_^

Well, that's the thing. I don't get exactly what the tables mean. Do they mean that kobolds only suffer aging effects at the very old, ancient and great wyrm cathegories? If so, what's the point of the dragon age cathegories for kobolds?
