And on that note, can we have a checkin on who's in and what they're playing?

Diviner.
"No, no, don't think, Maya." Ritsuko chided. "We will not gattai the Evas or their pilots.

Such thoughts lead inevitably to transformation sequences."

I'm not sure - I'd like to make sure I fit in with the rest of the group, but I was thinking about either a gish, a thrallherd, or an assassin/killer gnome type.

Some axioms/philosophies that need testing:
"I think, therefore I am,"
"Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely,"
"Beauty is tuth, truth, beauty"

Possibly working to define the natural state of man through subjugation/domination and the struggle to survive....? <scratches head>.

For example: Perhaps my character believes that the true nature of a man can only be seen through his actions, in times of plenty, times of scarcity, and times of woe.

As a telepath/thrallherd I would use my minions to create situations where individuals would need to make hard decisions to survive, or give others opportunities to make sacrifices for the greater good. Of course, for the experiment to be completed, people from all aspects of alignment would need to be tested.

Alternatively, perhaps the gish is interested in testing primarily his OWN nature....?

Or the killer gnome gathers secrets to him to use as bargaining chips in order to test the true selves of others...?

Mmm. I like the idea of the thrallherd a lot...and I should be able to enter by 6th....of course, I've never played one before, so I don't know how useful they would be in a game...what do you guys think?

Hiya Strat!

I was curious, how do you work cohorts and followers? I mean, do I make them up, or do you have to do that?

If I was to make my own minions, how would that work? (PB? Array? PB for cohort, Array for followers?)

Furthermore, how would your house rule on cohorts (I literally JUST read about this) affect the thrallherd's class features?

I don't want to take the class if it's going to get problematic...

Thanks.

You can't take Leadership. If you earn it, it'll be some RP'ed version of it. :)

Yerp, currently, cohort style classes are more or less shot down. Because the expectation is that every campaign is gunning for some form of kingdom, be it restoring their own, building a new one from the ashes of the old, or just becoming a brutal dictator, leadership is going to be somewhat abstracted and not the feat based version.

Wow, that kinda throws a whammy in the works over here.

I was hopin' for an exception, since it's a class and not just a feat, but I totally get it.

I just have to rethink now, 's all.

Although - and I mention it only for clarification - doesn't that leave necromancers in an especially good position, given their ability to manufacture their own followers?

Especially something like the Master of Shrouds.....

*casts summon shadow*
"You, there, shadow, do me a favor and make a half dozen copies of yourself."
*rebukes resultant undead*
burns: "Excellent....." /burns

Sort of. Most necros are probably going to be limited to a couple rather large beat-sticks, much like you'd get from summon monster, as opposed to hordes of shadows and the like. Infinite spawn tricks will get the necro killed.

Does the 'enemy' undead group know this...?

You still have my army of self-replicating robots to deal with. I can turn your troops into animated objects, but you can't trun mine into undead. Yay for abuse of backstories! :p

Tier 5: An expert cartographer or a decent marksman.
Tier 4: An expert marksman.
Tier 3: An expert marksman, cartographer and chef who can tie strong knots and is trained in hostage negotiation or a marksman so good he can shoot down every bullet fired by a minigun while armed with a rusted single-shot pistol that veers to the left.
Tier 2: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything, or the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.

Hey Strat, two questions:

1. How would the war weaver Prestige Class interact with the Numinous base class you created?

2. Spellfire Wielder + Warlock? Allowed?
