We have a bard cohort now, the Hat of Lovin' isn't entirely necessary, is it? My bard can handle the courage inspiring.
Hat of Loving gives the bonus to saves and skills as well, though, and also gives +5 unnamed to Cha-based checks for me. And allows me to be all ham-like since everyone within 100 ft. can hear my voice.
Large Ham? This seems appropriate.
Naturally, while I'm without a headset, people seem to post more youtube links than ever. :p

Didn't say you couldn't, did I? ;)

So what anime was that from anyway?
It looked at least somewhat hilarious :P

Openings are awesome. Also, here's one version of the title mech's combination sequence.

Also, for anyone who hated Gundam SEED Destiny...

I just stumbled upon an interesting magic item in Lords of Madness. Lens of Ray Doubling allows a beholder to split one of its eye rays into two, directing both at the same target or at two different targets (which must be within 30 ft. or less of each other). Effectively, while the feat isn't referenced, this works like Split Ray. But Lucy isn't a beholder. That's where the clause on Lens of Ray Chaining (which LoRD does reference, in a "this works like X, except" manner) comes into play, stating that a non-beholder spellcaster can still use it so long as they hold it in their hand. Thus, I effectively get to apply Split Ray to Lucy's EBs, allowing her to burninate at double the normal rate, for a measly 16k. :D It's also an oversized contact lens.
The downside would be that the lens can only be used nine times. :-\ And we can't really figure out how to make it permanent with the tables in the DMG, since it's nine charges instead of fifty.

You're wearing a monocle? :p

If it's 16k...
9 charges -> 50 charges = 16,000 * 50/9 = 88,889
50 charges -> Unlimited = 88,889 * 2 = 177,778gp

Alternatively
177,778 / 2,000 = 88
spell level * caster level = 88
1 * 1 = 1
2 * 3 = 6
3 * 5 = 15
4 * 7 = 28
5 * 9 = 45
6 * 11 = 66
7 * 13 = 91
8 * 15 = 120
9 * 17 = 153
The effect is rougly equal to a 7th-level spell - you might be able to get a 1st-level spell or two like true strike added to the effect for the same price.

Double Ray
Level: Wiz/Sor 7
Casting time: 1 swift action
Target: Personal
The next ray spell you fire becomes two rays.

EDIT: If the item only works for eldritch blasts you can get a 30% cost reduction, to 124,444gp, or reduce the spell level to 6.

Which reminds me - I dunno if I want to go there, but a continuous item of True Strike costs 8,000 gp, or 16,000 gp if it's slotless. :D Of course, one could use a use-activated one instead, but then you gett all manner of arguments about what kind of action it is to activate a use-activated item.

And no, I'm not wearing a monocle. Lens of Ray Chaining specifically says that you need to hold it in one hand to use if for spells.

Ready when you guys are. I messed around with Lucy's stuff a little more and ended up buying the normal, nine-shots version of the lens, an upgrade to her +Dex item, Horizon Goggles, and some feats. She now has +56 Diplomacy.
Also, I'm running out of space for feats on my sheet.

Yay! Let the geriatric crusade begin! (My character and a lot of my followers wound up being Old or Venerable for the mental stat boosts. All the important ones are also either undead or have Tomb-Tainted Souls. I'm leading a weird cult of geezer psychics who aspire to becoming undead before they die of old age. :D )

Actually, for my lvl 6 follower I might throw together a Diviner real quick, but that can wait until we've started. My other followers will prolly be ripped from Bowen.

Someone should buy an Amulet of Second Chances. Hmm... maybe I should buy it later. It would be fun when I'm controlling like 10 animated objects, a psicrystal, and taking my own actions, and redo them all till I get max damage on every attack, natural 20s on all attack rolls and saves for the round, and all failed saves against my powers.  :lol It would also be nice for repeatedly Scrying every round till I've seen every inch of the "big evil stronghold" we're about to invade, and figured out how to bypass/disarm every trap by repeatedly trying them all, etc. :D Tell me this isn't the most broken item in D&D? (Ok... besides the Thought Bottle... and the Candle of Invocation... oh forget it. :P )

The most annoying thing about this is that everyone else also remembers all the actions you repeated. How annoying would that be? Oh no... he's doing it again?! Argh!!!  :banghead

Which is why I'm going to go ahead and say that the item remains used even through the temporal loop.

Yes, even if you have two.

So, Bowen, Agita, Phaedrus, and Bowen are done...

Did I miss something, or is Straw Man finished as well?

I think he got bored of waiting and quit posting here. Maybe someone should PM him. :p

In fact, he hasn't posted on BG at all in almost 2 weeks.

Added a list of sources used. Yay, I used 13 different books. >_>

Hmm... should Lucy's Glamerweave outfit be victorian style? :D
Also, who else thinks we should just go ahead and start the game, so Straw can join up later? <_< >_>
