Forget fighting people with a sewer. Be a hulking hurler. Your favorite weapon? The planet.

If I go ranged, I like my elvencraft bow of the wintermoon. I can use it as a composite longbow (with variable Strength rating) as a ranged weapon, or as a quarterstaff as a melee weapon.

If I'm primarily melee, I'll go the glaive/spiked gauntlet route.

If I'm going natural weapons, I like the psychic warrior's claws of the beast and bite of the wolf, coupled with hydra form (from metamorphosis). That, or the various soulmelds granted by a totemist.

Two lances of speed/suppression are a great combination when you're going psychic warrior charger, especially since you can use Two-Weapon Fighting and psionic lion's charge.

And if I'm going meta-ray specialist, energy conversion and psionic disintegrate are awesome.

I dare anyone to find a hole in that logic.

a ransuer, which doesn't sound nearly as cool...

It sounds like sewer.

As I was reading through this, I was thinking, you know, I really like the ranseur, plus it has a cool name.  Apparently my opinion is the minority here.  :D

Go with a Longspear?
I guess I could do that. Mechanically, there is little difference. I don't expect to be disarming people, and there is only half a point of damage difference on average. Any other reason to use the longspear instead of ransuer, except for the name? :D
[spoiler]
A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

For what it's worth: it doesn't require Martial Weapon Proficiency.

My favorite weapon is the heaviest arsenal from the giant flying golem mecha I'm piloting.
Hood - My first answer to all your build questions; past, present, and future.

Speaking of which:
Don't even need TO for this.  Any decent Hood build, especially one with Celerity, one-rounds [Azathoth, the most powerful greater deity from d20 Cthulu].
Does it bug anyone else that we've reached the point where characters who can obliterate a greater deity in one round are considered "decent?"

My fave:

Great sword while mounted with wpn specialization and spirited charge feats.  4d6 damage a charge, plus 2x strength bonus.

I'm playing a barb 1/fighter 5 with that combo, and her minimum damage while raging/charging is 22, average damage is 32.

Just curious, why not use a lance then?

What's so cheap about Magical Arrows? I'd just buy a magical Bow.

One Magical Arrow... wielded as a melee weapon. No bow.

TWF, duh.
The mind transcends the body.
It's also a little cold because of that.
Please get it a blanket.

"Just what do you think the moon up in the sky is? Everyone sees that big, round shiny thing and thinks there must be something round up there, right? That's just silly. The truth is much more awesome than that. You can almost never see the real Moon, and its appearance is death to humans. You can only see the Moon when it's reflected in things. And the things it reflects in, like water or glass, can all be broken, right? Since the moon you see in the sky is just being reflected in the heavens, if you tear open the heavens it's easy to break it~"

Obviously he's heading on his conquest to fighter 6. One question: You're not a dungeoncrasher, so why fighter 6?
