The majestic city of Stonedeep is situated inside of a mountain in the north of the continent of Bergi. All about its base are lush green forests, and it has naturally occurring hot springs to the east. The temperature inside remains at a constant warm medium; the cold air is kept out by the depths, and thanks to its magical sun stone, which shines light deep down to the inside of the mountain, the citizens enjoy sunlight for between 10 and 14 hours a day. In short: a paradise. The incredible beauty of the daytime city streets is eclipsed only by the incredible night time lantern lights, which twinkle off of the natural undermountain lakes and rivers like a thousand twinkling stars.
The city's finest piece of architecture is the incredible church, which is situated in the very center of town, and is home to the sun stone, which rests atop the spire of the church's tower. This magical relic dating back to the discovery of this incredible cave rests at the very tip of the volcano, kissing the sky at the rim of the hole in the top of the mountain. The sun energies are captured within it, and shine downward into the city, bathing it in glorious magical light.
