Optimizing to the BG Arena

Hey folks!

I am going to join the Arena in the PbP area, and I'm planning on testing this class...

The thing is, I never played a Paladin before, so I am quite lost as to what to do.... below is a brief sketch:

Level 12, 32 PB, WBL

(no race defined yet)

Paladin 7/SBoH 5
1: Weapon Focus (Longsword)
3: Power Attack
6: *some divine feat of sorts?*
8: Law Devotion (converting Law Domain)
9: *free*
12: *free*

For race, I was thinking either human or illumian (going for Aeshkrau or Aeshoon), but anything goes...

That's a rather... powerful... class, to say the least.

Take Divine Vigor or Divine Shield for your Divine feat at level 6. CHA to AC is nice, as is 2xHD in Temp. HP and +10 Speed - both effects last the encounter, assuming a decent CHA.

Why not take Battle Blessing, though, for Auto Quicken on all your spells? And I'm assuming Leadership is a no-no. Try for Sword of the Arcane Order, too, if you can tweak the fluff.

3rd - Practiced Spellcaster (Paladin)
6th - Sword of the Arcane Order
8th - Law Devotion
9th - Battle Blessing
12th - Awesome Smite
15th - Smite Fiery Foe
18th - Sun Devotion

Well.... since I will not have a lot of spells to cast, I gave upon Battle Blessing.... same with Sword of Arcane Order...

And yeah, no Leadership...

While we're talking about spells, which ones should I think about using?
