Pretty sure Bear Warrior's only worth taking 1, 5, or 10 levels in, no? Any other number means you have dead levels that aren't getting you anything.

  The thing is, when the party advance, actions become more valuable. that's the reason I want to be more self-reliant.now IHS provides a solution, and i intended to keep it that way.

Then convince them to take Quicken Spell and Metamagic Spell Trigger. Or just have a Swift Action, At Will item of Grease to screw yourself over.

The best answer I've found is to take cumberous will.
This keeps you from killing the party 100% of the time.
