Raptorans, Wings, and Battle Jump
« on: November 20, 2008, 09:13:36 PM »
Raptorans never take falling damage because they can glide, but does using their wings this way modify the Battle Jump feat's effects? (Raptorans are from Races of the Wild and Battle Jump is from Unapproachable East.)

I believe I could dive bomb a creature without gliding, attack it, then bring out my wings to act as a parachute, thereby cushioning my landing.
Hood - My first answer to all your build questions; past, present, and future.

Speaking of which:
Don't even need TO for this.  Any decent Hood build, especially one with Celerity, one-rounds [Azathoth, the most powerful greater deity from d20 Cthulu].
Does it bug anyone else that we've reached the point where characters who can obliterate a greater deity in one round are considered "decent?"

Eh, I'd say it wouldn't pass in my games, since the flavor of battle jump implies that you to crash down onto the opponent, while the wings as a parachute would make your drop much less painful for you and your opponent.  I could understand if somebody ruled the other way as well though.

But since you can fly starting at 6th, you can do a dive, which is a double dmg charge with a piercing weapon from above - without spending a feat.
