Terry McGinnis I like, but since the Nolan Batman is still Bruce Wayne ,that's still me.   ;)

The problem I see now is that our icons are both Jim Lee Batman drawings.  So, one of us *cough* you *cough* should change to some other picture of Batman.

yes.  That is excellent  :lmao
I'm the only REAL batman that exists.   :smirk

well, I don't know about that.  I mean I sure listed plenty of other people that have been Batman, and KnightDisciple is McGinnis, so I would say that's not acurate.  Plus, while it's not a sentiment I personally share, a large segment of the Batman fan community considers the Adam West television show to be a scar on the history of the character, best tucked away and forgotten.  I personally enjoy it's campyness, especially since the actors were always aware of the show they were created, and were trying to achieve that campy quality.  Besides, that was what the country wanted at the time, and it reflected the tone of the comic books. Having said all that, that Batman was still Bruce Wayne, so, according to my above post, that is also me.

*the above is just me showing off my knowledge and not me trying to instigate.  :D If you would like to discuss the relative merits of various Batman interpretations, I would enjoy that quite a bit, but that would really derail this thread, so we could start a new one if anyone wants to.*

It's a wizard...
He's casting something...

In honesty, it used to be a gif on a rather disreputable site.
I liked the image, so I stole it.

And I'm such a Dan2 fanboy I picked a similar image ;)

A looooong time ago at 339 I was a Lockwood drawing of an old man using the firefinger form of Cantrip.  Then I became an Uncon prizewinner and was a Snowy Owl (obviously) for the longest damn time.

At the time of the boards crash I was (and still am) in a righteous viking mood, and as such, I have a burly viking as my avatar.  Oddly enough, the avatar's hairstyle is similar to my own...

Was he one of the Dwarves from the 'unusual spellcasters' illustrations from an old Dragon?  Or was this a different illustration?

Changed my avatar.  Still Batman, still a Jim Lee drawing, but definitely a more badass version.

Also i wanted to show it off, so I posted in this thread just so people would think, "Huh, there hasn't been a new post in that thread for a long time.  I wonder what it says..."  And then you would see my new avatar and be jealous of it's coolness, and then I would feel better about myself as a person.  :D

Reynardine from Gunnerkrigg Court. This comic, specifically, because I thought he looked particularly badass there. Even if his dialogue is particularly not-badass. ^.^

Gendou Ikari. The guy who makes Chuck Norris look like a bed-wetting paraplegic baboon in comparison.

Most awesome, non-super-powered, human villain ever.

(The Joker doesn't count. He's fueled by his madness. Ikari is perfectly sane, he just has no freakin' scruples).
Gendou Ikari is basically Gregory House in Kaminashades. This is FACT.

Well, I'm not exactly fond of the anime, but I do agree about Gendo's lack of scrupules and whatnot...

About the Chuck thing though, there's plenty of guys who do the same thing ;)

However, I think the most awesome, non-super-powered, human villain ever is whoever wrote the last episode of NGE. Seriously...

Oh, that's standard Gainax procedure to give people a mind-gangrape on their last episode. It's a tradition for them, almost.

What do you mean -almost-?
The mind transcends the body.
It's also a little cold because of that.
Please get it a blanket.

I wish I could read your mind,

"Just what do you think the moon up in the sky is? Everyone sees that big, round shiny thing and thinks there must be something round up there, right? That's just silly. The truth is much more awesome than that. You can almost never see the real Moon, and its appearance is death to humans. You can only see the Moon when it's reflected in things. And the things it reflects in, like water or glass, can all be broken, right? Since the moon you see in the sky is just being reflected in the heavens, if you tear open the heavens it's easy to break it~"

IIRC, Gurren-Lagann didn't get a mindfuck on its last episode. Though, to be fair, that's the only case I can remember of Gainax doing stuff like that.

(I do recall there was an anime where they 'switched' and made the first episode a mindfuck... but the name escapes me at the moment.)
