Gaming Experience:
I started playing around the 2nd ed AD&D era. My D&D escapades end in 3.5 ed. I had also played Shadowrun a bit (somewhere around second along with 3rd ed) and I still own the books for that. (as an aside, I have been told that 4th ed solves problems with deckers and this intrigues me). Finally, I decided I needed something new, didn't know where to start and dove right into Burning Wheel instantly falling in love again. Oh, and most recently, I had an enjoyable experience with Eclipse Phase after which I promptly purchased the book (after waiting two hours until 10am, on Friday, at GenCon).
Somewhere in there I also explored Vampire the Masquerade and Wraith the Oblivion. Both of which I took a liking to, but not nearly as much as Wraith, which I happened to buy earlier this year.
Average level interested in playing: Low to Low-Mid Range (or in Burning Wheel terms four to five lifepaths).
Favorite System(s): Burning Wheel hands down, but Eclipse Phase really pulled me in as well.
Favorite Setting(s): I can tell you I don't like the typical fantasy setting. It just bores me (this includes Eberron).
Favorite Game Type: Character-driven storylines.
Favorite Class Type: Well, Burning Wheel doesn't have classes, and in D&D I'm not sure I cared too much for being restricted.
Average Posting Rate: I haven't had much luck with PbP games, but I am willing to participate in a Skype game.
Currently DMing: None, but I will be trying to start up a Burning Wheel campaign.
Currently Playing: Anton, a wanderer scavenging the remains of technologically advanced civilizations past for a meager living until one day . . .
