Yeah, I know how that is. My sister and my mother are both schoolteachers, they have this annoying habit of talking in a Teacher Voice when they want to explain something to you.

Tell me, what's your tolerance for music? If you've the time, listen to Harry Chapin's The Rock. It's a fucking terrifying song, and it's brilliant for teaching the structure of a horrific story.

I agree with the Siren analysis. I think we should have started with the "soul" bit and gone from there. I am a bit tickled that it was my ad lib that encapsulated it for you.
