Guess what, I recently got Spore. I won't get into the annoying details of how much I damn love that beast, be assured, but I felt like showing my own little creation and see what the others managed to spawn in their own basements.

Probably slides on the group.  You don't need legs at any point in the game, in fact it gives you an achievement for evolving a legless sentient species.
