I'd like someone to try and take on the level 17, but then again almost anything can beat it, so we'll see.

I still think it's quite good for a commoner.

It's too much freakin' work to make a level 17 anything.
A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

Just to be contrary... :P
I'm up to the challenge. I'll have a character for JaronK's Commoner to spar against sometime soon.

Eep!  Don't custom make him to take on the commoner though!

But yeah, it's a lot of work, that's why he's only mostly done.  It's just pretty darn hard to get him strong enough to be a threat before that level.

Maybe I'll make  level 12 version or something.

I was working on a dvati character (Dragon Compendium) - could I get a racial class so I can toss some abilities and ignore the LA? :smirk
My work
The tier system in a nutshell:
Tier 6: A cartographer.
Tier 5: An expert cartographer or a decent marksman.
Tier 4: An expert marksman.
Tier 3: An expert marksman, cartographer and chef who can tie strong knots and is trained in hostage negotiation or a marksman so good he can shoot down every bullet fired by a minigun while armed with a rusted single-shot pistol that veers to the left.
Tier 2: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything, or the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.
Tier 1: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything and the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.
I'd have like a hundred level 15-20 builds in my notebook. My job was that damn silent at times.

Hey, if Dragon was allowed you'd be doomed.  I'd have Quickdraw and Infested with Chickens.  No one can defeat the endless chicken army (or at least, no one can see through the infinite chicken defensive field).

True enough. I should be able to make it work without Dragon.
Quick question: The OP says possession of more than one mount is prohibited. Does this also apply to Animal Companions (Like with, say, a Beastmaster)?

dman correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you're okay to have the animal companions, but can only take 1 of them into an arena fight at a time.
The cake is a lie.

I seek your approval.

EDIT: Finished now. I didn't see a rule against Dragon Compendium.

Creatures gained via class features are allowed, but extraneous animals are out.  More than one extraneous animal, that is.

Hm, I hope this is the right thread.

How does this homebrewed PrC look? I'm thinking that if that's good, I'll only need one more character concept to steal and build before I've got the 3 characters I want before actually joining. If it's not, I'll think of something else, cause I'm certain I'm at least gonna try and participate in this dealie.

I'd have two level 17s and something lower, probably 8.
So you end up stuck in an endless loop, unable to act, forever.

In retrospect, much like Keanu Reeves.

Homebrew base class submission: Weaponmaster

(Maybe we need another thread for homebrew submissions)

So... I, uh, was looking around and noticed that the Lesser Planetouched are just barely 3.5... are we doing something about that, or can I go right ahead and use that tasty +2 Wis, +2 Cha?

EDIT: Oh, and how strict are we being on Patron Deity requirements, by the way? I know default is "obey them", but they seem similar to alignment requirements, so I thought I should ask.

It depends on what for.  You aren't required to choose a deity, much less a specific one, so if you're worried about domains, you can go godless.  I'm pretty sure PrC requirements are staying, so to become a RSoP you'd need to worship Pelor.

Edit: NM. Noticed in the other thread that you said the purpose of this is to playtest homebrewed stuff.

I don't think that is the only point. AFAIK, JaronK is not testing anything apart from the possibility of beating stuff with a Commoner.

Yeah, I just heard arena and had to try it.

Besides, you can't test out homebrews without testing SOMETHING from the real game.
