You must meet the requirements for anything you retrain.  The things you can retrain are on the first page.

Also: are my other high refs still out there?  I still need someone to go over my submissions and either AC or Tshern to go over the Weapon Master.

And: other submitters: Any word?  I know I'd like to make a Chozo Warrior and Savage, but we need some communication from those guys first.

EDIT: In case that wasn't clear, yes, that trick works.

EDIT 2: the retraining allowed is on the first page of the Waiting Room, not this thread.

*raises hand* Still here.

I can get to the Weaponmaster tonight or tomorrow night (most likely tomorrow night, but you never know). :D
The cake is a lie.

Your stuff looks okay to me, though I don't have much experience with marsahals.

Communication? The new version wasn't checked.

I somehow managed to get a stickied thread in the arena - can someone delete it?
My work
The tier system in a nutshell:
Tier 6: A cartographer.
Tier 5: An expert cartographer or a decent marksman.
Tier 4: An expert marksman.
Tier 3: An expert marksman, cartographer and chef who can tie strong knots and is trained in hostage negotiation or a marksman so good he can shoot down every bullet fired by a minigun while armed with a rusted single-shot pistol that veers to the left.
Tier 2: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything, or the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.
Tier 1: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything and the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.
I've got a random question. Let's say I wanted to hire an NPC to perform a ritual that requires two feats (one feat plus a prerequisite, neither of which I want to take) for me. Now, the original rules cover all the costs of the ritual and calls out that you CAN get others to perform it for you, but it never suggests how much getting someone to do it for you should cost. The ritual in question is the Ritual of Wings under Dragon Totem Rituals in Magic of Eberron. How much ought I to deduct from my gp in addition to the material costs?
So you end up stuck in an endless loop, unable to act, forever.

In retrospect, much like Keanu Reeves.

I guess that was lack of communication.  I'll look at it next time I go AM on you all.  For the future: I think we should have people re-submit fixed classes, not just say "hey look it's fixed!".  I guess saying that counts, but the point is: new post.  I know what I do is take a look at only new posts when I move things around.

Ok, here's my first competitor. The Sunglasses Ninja (so named because he wears sunglasses to hide his glowing eyes, which would otherwise give him away while hiding). Level 12. Hope I didn't screw anything up.

Whoops, thank ye. I blame my never having used mythweavers before. Or else my general incompetence. One of the two.

Also, since the Umbral Disciple references Ranger HiPS, instead of all the other HiPS abilities that actually work by using shadows, I guess I'll be fighting in only natural terrain until I save up enough to buy a Collar of Umbral Metamorphosis. Stupid rules.

EDIT: Must find means of getting concealment. Ignore Sunglasses up there for now.

EDIT 2: Ok, done that. This game annoys me sometimes. The Sunglasses Ninja is fixed now, methinks.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but are purchased mounts automatically revived between matches, or do you have to repurchase them if they're killed? I glanced over the rules, but didn't see this.

Is this Arena going anywhere? There doesn't seem to be alot of people posting characters...

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

Mounts are considered part of your equipment.  So that rule takes precedence.

In other words: if damaged, returned to full health for free.  If destroyed (dead) it's not fixed.

Link to the lovely Yellow Jester, 17th level Factotum. Should I list his items in his inventory on his sheet, or can I keep some things a secret, and how?

You must list all items on your sheet.  And keep a record of purchase history.

EDIT: You can leave the initial purchases as one entry: initial purchases, because otherwise it could get big.  But after that you should keep a record of them.  Something like in the "notes" section (the non-private one if using Myth-Weavers) just have a table stating the amount you lost or gained and the reason for doing so.  This makes it sooooooo much easier to track wealth.

Should we put things like persistent buffs on the sheet?

Good question.

Your spell list and stuff would be public, but any spells you cast or any spells you have prepared are determined in each individual match.  From your spell list and play style it could be obvious which ones are prepared and whatnot, but they don't have to be on your sheet.

Could someone PM me the wealth by level for a level 8 character? Also, if I submit a legal level 8 character that can cast 9th level wizard spells, will it be accepted? Will anyone want to fight it? :P

If your character is legal it will be allowed.  If you can cast 9th level wizard spells I have doubts of the legality, but will reserve judgement until I see it.  And they will be forced to fight it.  Cheese is heavily discouraged though.  It would be nice to keep things about an average power level for the spirit of competition and for the original purpose of this: playtest homebrews

I would love to know how you do that...
Care to elaborate?

Also, not sure if I have enough time to join in on this, but it sure as hell looks fun :)

Hmm... maybe it's not actually doable till 9th level, now that I think about it, due to insufficient feats. You definitely need Earth Spell, and you have to be a gnome, unless you use the adapted version of SCM that isn't race specific.

Anyway: Cloistered Cleric 5/Shadowcraft Mage 3. You qualify early by using Divine Metamagic: Heighten on a 2nd level spell to raise it to 4th. You can actually DMM: Heighten things to 9th level with enough turn attempts, though, and when you also use Earth Spell, that becomes effectively a 10th level spell. Then using that with Shadow Illusion, you can emulate any Wizard Evocation or Conjuration (Creation or Summoning) spell of 9th level or lower.

You need: SF and GSF Illusion, Heighten Spell, DMM: Heighten Spell, Earth Sense, and Earth Spell, though. And even with flaws, I don't see how to get all that as a gnome CC5/SCM3... It might be possible to use Metamagic School Focus instead of Earth Spell, but I'm not sure that is legal due to how they're worded.
