Can you either post here or PM how you calculated your stats. I could be missing something obvious, but I just couldn't get the numbers to match up. Thanks :D

Dragonborn Desert Half-Orc
+4 Con
-2 Dex
-2 Int

so undoing racial, then undoing old age, we get:
Str 6->6->9 = 1 pt
Dex 6->8->11 = 3 pts
Con 18->14->17 = 13 pts
Int 14->16->14 = 6 pts
Wis 18->18->16 = 10 pts
ChA 14->14->12 = 4 pts
= 37 pts.

Pretty close.

It always seems like the barrels around here have something in them.

A little cheesy.  It's really unecessary (except for total abuse) if you're allowing PHBII-style retraining anyway.

PHB2 retraining won't work on the feats from VoP... Was the whole point.

But with 4 against I'm sure I can come up with something else.

oh right ^-^ damn i must've done something wrong :S so:

desert half-orc is +2 con -2 int
dragonborn is -2 dex +2 con
amphibious template is -2 dex

starting stats was 9/9/15/15/17/13, being middle-aged makes them 8/8/14/16/18/14 and applying the racial stats (-4 dex +4 con -2 int) 8/4/18/14/18/14.

Sorry about the mistake, i must have started calculations with a strength score of 7 for some reason :P

Meg has been kind enough to give us our own child-forum now. I'm hoping to finish up the project I'm working on tonight or tomorrow and then I'll need a couple days to get the campaign together and we'll start things. For now, let's keep discussion in these prep threads.

And yes, I'll rename the threads so you don't have to remember A or B. Once I know the campaign a bit more, I'll come up with appropriate names :D

Any questions?

Description:
Stepping out from the shadows is a small and slender figure, features concealed beneath a dark cowl.  As the figure draws it's hood down it reveals a pair of purest blue eyes, gaping and wide, innocent and childlike.  But behind the eyes lurks the cold heart and soul of a killer.

All this subject to change if world fluff/party composition calls for it:

Background:
Formerly a member of a thieves/assassin's guild, with a penchant for skimming from the top.  The rest of the guild were getting uncomfortably close to working out where the missing money was going, so Turen skipped town and wound up tagging along with this bunch of suckers band of trusted companions in whatever highjinks they were up to at the time (probably they needed a sneak/scout/trapspringer for a job).

Personality:
A disarming sense of humour hides an almost total lack of tact or mercy.  Makes inappropriate jokes, refers to people by insulting nicknames, and occasionally suggests murder/maiming as a solution to minor problems (before attempting to pass them off as "just a joke").

Catch phrase: "Okay, I won't kill him...

... can I maim him a little instead?"

Hrm... Just thought of this.

For reference, here's the languages spoken of everyone for which I can find them.

Malachi 'the Sorceror': Draconic, Abyssal, Common

Dalcyrr 'Goldskin' Llalee: Draconic, Infernal, Celestial, Elven, Common

Dusk: Orc, Elven, Sylvan, Druidic, Draconic, Common

Suuru Tyelka: Orc, Elven, Sylvan, Common

Tiv: Dwarven, Common

Turen Demesh: Gnome, Terran, Common, +2 others

Looks like we've got a very good spread.

Hmmm... I'll stick Dwarven in there.  Makes sense and someone's gotta talk to Tiv.

After that, can I add in Thieves' Cant?  Coz it just should exist imo, it's too cool not to exist in any self respecting fantasy world.

Thieves' Cant, at least in my worlds, is spoken using your hands. It is also the mechanical equivalent of Drow Sign Language, should you ever need to communicate via that method. :D

For those of you curious, until, and assuming he does, pfooti gets the online roller for this site working, we'll be using InvisibleCastle. I'll be asking that you roll under your character's name, so if your character is named "Justin McTyrel" that's the name you will use to roll. I'll check when we get closer to starting and if the name is currently being used, I'll help you come up with something to roll under, but this seems the simplest method so that I can check occasionally for roll verification.  I trust you all not to cheat, but I'm a bit OCD sometimes, so I like to check things :P

Tier 4: An expert marksman.

Tier 2: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything, or the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.

UPDATE

Okay everyone, I'm working on building the campaign and I want to get some things out and make sure I know we're all on the same page.

Right now I am aware of one definite houserule and three possible houserules.  I want to get everyone's vote on them. Please respond with a yes or no for the following houserules:
1. Max HP for level 1 & 2, average for each level afterwards (4.5 for a d8, for example).
2A. Disjunction does not destroy items, it merely causes them to become nonmagical for 1 hour.
2B. Ban Disjunction
3. Ban Wish
4. Ban Shapechange
5. Ban Celerity
6. Ban Time Stop
7. Ban Polymorph Any Object
8. Ban Gate
9. Ban Astral Projection
10. Players die at either -10 or -Con score, whichever is most beneficial at the time.
11. Fraction BAB & Saves
12. Pathfinder skills (I'm still not completely understanding this. I believe there are different "alpha" versions? If someone has a link explaining the system of the version to be used, that'd be great)

The definite houserule has been to ban the Dark Chaos spells.

Okay, so here's what I'm seeing for character basics right now... Let me know if anything seems out of whack.

Shigunaru: Lawful Good Glimmersking Halfing Focused Transmuter (correct?)
DavetheMagicWeasel: Chaotic Good Whisper Gnome Rogue
Dictum Mortuum: Neutral Good Dragonborn Amphibious Desert Half-Orc Druid
EjoThims: Chaotic Good Human Sorcerer
Prime32: Chaotic Good Changeling Battledancer
BoSheck: Chaotic Good Snow Elf Cloistered Cleric
