Posted my character as well. I am still bitter about not affording a riding dog...

Guys... what do you think about the "Spellgifted" trait on my Dread Necro for Necromancy?  This would mean my Summon Undead spells are screwed at low level, and I'd be at -1 CL for about 40% of my spell list.  But, other than a tiny bit of extra damage at high level, and a tiny bit of a CL bump for SR issues, I don't see a huge advantage.  Anyone have any other opinions?

It's only worth it if it lets you hit a break point.  For example, if I need one more caster level to hit 41, then I'll take that Spellgifted trait.  And, of course, every caster level boost is a big deal for a Shadowcraft Mage.

Okay, ksb, sdk, jwo, and tshern are up and ready.

Whenever you finish your sheets, JJ & NiN, can you link me to them? Once I go over them, you can post them in the Character sheet thread and we'll get rolling :D

Just wondering something: Does Collegiate Wizard double the amount of spells I get at first level due to my intelligence modifier or just the base growth? I assumed the latter in my build.

That's what I figured, so no need to adjust anything.

Same as PI's and I have triple the post count. Then again, as I said in the G-FU thread, it's not like it actually meant anything.

Thanks Nall.

I'll go over yours and JJ's at work tonight and PM you two if I run across anything. After that, we'll start on Monday, when jwo gets back in town.

Okay, I PMed everyone, I think. :confused

If you didn't get a PM, let me know.

I'm hoping to start Monday when JWO gets back in town, if that works for everyone.

While we're talking, I'm wondering what kind of posting response I can expect from everyone. 1/day, 2/day, 3/week, etc?  I just want a feel for how quickly the game may move.  Also, jwo made a great example of the OOC thread, using that for vacation times would be great, if you guys can do that...

Umm... Oh yeah, does anyone have any questions about posting and/or rolling style/method? :D

For my posting rate, it depends on if I'm working that day or not.  For example - I work today, but had a few extra minutes in the morning, so checked the boards.  I might be able to sneak in a few more minutes at work, but not much.

My days off... I can post as much as you want.

Sigh.

Look, guys - I'm up to my ears right now in real life, trying to get hired, help my students re-write research papers, perform Shakespeare, and study for their finals, finishing my thesis, and working through where I might move.  I was at a job fair in Chicago yesterday, have to go back (I live 4 hours away) on Wednesday, then I'm off to DC on Friday - Tuesday.  Meanwhile, my thesis is due tomorrow, my presentation of it is due Tuesday, I have an essay to write and a portfolio to construct for my interviews Wednesday, and I still haven't written my kids' exam.

I promise I'll be here and be invested, but I'll be less so for about 1.5 weeks.  If that means I'm out, that's cool.

Apologies!   :scared

Hey, no panic man! We're all doing this for fun and I think, and hope, I am speaking for everyone when I say take your time. I'll be busy till this Thursday with my entrance exams too, so I won't be able to start before that. Good luck with your RL stuff, it's always better to start when you're doing fine in real life as well! Once more, GL!

Thanks, brother - makes a HUGE difference when peeps are understanding.  I LOVE y'all, and this is the PbP I'm most excited about - appreciate you being flexible!

FYI - some more character junk:

Thanks to something pointed out by AC, I've gone back to making my Thri a Multiweapon Fighter with Crescent Knives.  8 attacks per round is kind of . . . gross.   :smirk

On the other hand, no healing.

I have a couple of other ideas.  Some fun stuff is possible, if I tweak it a bit.  Options include a Primordial Half-Giant Beguiler (yay for invisibility at will!), a Proto-Creature Azurin Incarnate (weird, right - but I have a feat combo that'll give the dude a 45 ft. cone of 3d6 acid every round at 1st - AT-WILL!  Read: insta death for groups of enemies!), and an infinite manifesting build (Azure Talent, Psycarnum Infusion, and Improved Essentia Capacity FTW!).

The "infinite" part makes this a 5(all infinites are 5s). I understand it won't start off as a 5 though, and if you could tweak it to be a LOT but not INFINITE, I'd be interested in seeing it. :)

Edit: Do you mean infinite Power Points or Infinite Manifesting Level or both? I suppose I should ask for the details before letting the word "infinite" get to me.

ksb, would you be willing to trade the glory domain granted power for spontaneous restoration spells?
It appears I'm going to be the trap bait, and I'd like to have some way of undoing the bad stuff that I'll be on the receiving end of.
