NiN is doing Summer, I am doing Winter.  Different builds, siblings, very "yin-yang" mythical.
After reading it, re-reading it, and finally noticing the date for it, I can see it is highly 3.0.  Now my question is whether it was something akin to the Vampire Lord, where they just didn't give it a LA, but Dragon Compendium just threw on a +0, or what.  I'm getting the actual 304 issue and I'll get back to you.
The cake is a lie.

Do you mean in Dragon Compendium? See my fear is that the "update" involved slapping a LA+0 on it and calling it a day. We'll see though :wink

Meh, there are worse things we could do.  This is just stylish and cool.  :)

Remember, you're dealing with a good portion of the CO board at the moment.  :)

I read the original Unseelie Fey. I read the Dragon Compendium one. They're almost the exact same, except they made the DR more powerful when trying to update it.

For those of you who want Unseelie Fey, here' my 3.5 update/compromise
Starting Level Adjustment = +2
If you roll low and don't have usable wings, lower Level Adjustment by +1.
Damage Reduction is stagnant at 5/Cold Iron, like the Half-Fey Template.
Keep the Season's Power and Iron Vulnerability.
If you roll high and have Tremorsense or Blindsight, increase Level Adjustment by +1.

So the Unseelie Fey LA varies from +1->+3.  It's the most balanced way I see it.  If you both still want to use it, feel free to submit a savage progression and I'll take a look at it.
The cake is a lie.

I know. And I expect optimized builds between the 3 & 4 on the Janus-ScaleTM.  Unseelie Fey at LA+0 stretches past 4. :P

I guess that leaves me as just a strongheart halfling Druid 10/Planar Shepherd 10.

What's the Janus Scale?  I know he told me about it on the phone, but I seem to remember 5 being pun-pun or the H.I.V.E.  You got a link?

I'm thinking either the Blessed Fields of Elysium (so mythically awesome) or the Concordant Domains of the Outlands.  Do you have a preference?

Not really. Although with JJ wanting to be so incredibly evil, you may want to lean towards the Outlands.

Bah.  Unseelie Fey is decidedly level 4.  We had SUCH a neat concept, and you're raining on our parade?  Boooo!

I guess I'll just the the even MORE deadly, MUCH more effective build that nobody would say boo about.  Sigh.   ::)

I confess I'll never understand people's prejudices.  The unseelie template is something that would allow NiN and I to play something thematic, flavorful, and effective.  It would NOT break either of us; in fact, it's the only thing that was going to make MY character concept work!

Oh well.  Back tot he drawing board. :)

Added the Magic-Blooded template; seems appropriate and useful.

Yeah,  going by the description in the post, Unseelie Fey is definitely smack dab in the level 4 category along with Half-minotaur and White Dragonspawn.

But whateveh.

I think the party is settling for a 3.

Grrrumble.

Nothing I'd do with that template would be broken!  It just removes an interesting, viable alternative from play!   :wall

Hell, I'm not even playing a fricking CASTER!   :mad :pout

Sigh.

'Hokay.  Here's something that won't offend, but is still WAY more effective than my Unseelie Fey.

http://rustmonster.net/sheet/?view=1363

Can modify it to be a natural attacker, if preferred.  Fewer attacks, but they'll heal; just shift feats to Multiattack, Martial Study - Crusader's Strike, and Martial Stance - Aura of Triumph.  10 hp/round, 5 attacks per round, double damage pounces by 3rd.

Whatevs.

I love Thri-Kreen. No questionable rules and effective for just about any level. Are you looking at Master Thrower? Bloodstorm Blade?

Lessee... 1 melee, 1 melee/divine, 1 ranged, 1 ranged/divine and 2 arcane...I think we've got something with this.
