As long as you get along with everybody else, nothing should be an issue.

I'm evil.  But you KNEW that.   :smirk

It seems most are Neutral or Evil.  My cleric/warlock is CG, but may shift to CN at some point in the future.

Ah, 'kay.  Just making sure that I wouldn't have to be evil.

JJ, no murdering innocents in my character's presence!  Remember, I'm the guy who had to turn off the screen and stereo when playing through Knights of the Old Republic as a dark sider in order to make the dark side choices ...

Okay, so I'm looking at two possibilities at the moment.

  • Cloistered Cleric into Shadowcraft Mage into ???.  This is pretty self explanatory.
  • Druid (Sidhe Shepherd variant from Dragon, if possible, 'cause I like the whole Gaelic thing) into - duh duh duhhhh - Planar Shepherd.  The question then becomes what cosmology we're using.

I think we're using standard D&D cosmology. I'd rather see the Druid personally. We have a SCM and I'd love to see someone that could do close combat if the situation demanded.
It always seems like the barrels around here have something in them.

Yeah, Planar Shepherd sounds good.

Does anyone have trapfinding?  Just curious.

Edit: Aftercrescent, is there something specific we should know about the campaign? If we, for example, start in a desert I won't be taking my Gnome substitution level-induced penalties to abjuration because I would want Endure elements. You know, just to help us out a bit.
To be honest, I'm still working on the camaign, so I don't have anything specific. But I will let you know as soon as I do incase that effects any changes you want to make... Most likely we won't be starting in the desert, though.

Whats the policy on retraining?
We'll use the PHB2 rules, but avoid any tricks where you qualify for all your PrCs without base classes. Also, this includes rebuild quests if you're wanting to rebuild something beyond the basics.

Druid (Sidhe Shepherd variant from Dragon, if possible, 'cause I like the whole Gaelic thing) into - duh duh duhhhh - Planar Shepherd.  The question then becomes what cosmology we're using.
We'll be using the basic cosmology for planes. Deities are tangible and do occasionally respond to worshippers of merit. Planar Handbook and MotP are your friends :wink. Also, what Dragon issue?
The cake is a lie.

Yeah, right - it's cause he likes the Gaelic thing.   ::)

It's cause he likes characters made of WIN.

Any thoughts on what you guys would like me to play?  I could scale back the first level insanity, and only get really crazy from 2nd level up, if you like . . .

Sidhe Scholar is from Draqon 339, I believe.  Heavy on the fey flavor.  (fleyvor?)  Check out the Wild One bit.  Your wild shape forms are all cool-looking.  It's seriously a class feature that says, "You look hawt."

Tshern, would you rather have +Con or +Int and +Dex from your race?

The racial stats of a Tinker Gnome(which I will be playing) are -2 Str +2 Dex +2 Int -2 Wis.
They also get +2 on Will saves so the wisdom penalty shouldn't hurt at all.
Finally, they a +2 bonus on a category of skill depending on what Guild they have in their background. Craft Guild = +2 Crafts, Sage's Guild = +2 Knowledges and Technician's Guild = +2 Professions.

You could also use arcane gnome from Dragon.  I forget which issue they're in.

    As normal gnome, except:
+2 Int, -2 Wis (in addition to the normal gnome modifiers)
Instead of speak with animals, they get Use Magic Device as class skill for all their classes
    Fav Class: wizard

And they still get +1 to Illusion spell DCs? If so, I am sold! Just have to switch around my ability points a little, IIRC Earth sense has prerequisite of Wisdom 13. I have prepared myself to bump my wisdom at level 4, so that ought to take care of it though.

Yeah, they still get the +1 to illusion DCs.  They're made of win with a side of cheese fries.

Just bite the bullet and buy a 15 Wis starting out.

I'd do something like this ...

Stat|Score before racial mods (Points) | Final Score
    Str | 8 (0) | 6
    Dex | 14 (6) | 14
    Con | 14 (6) | 16
    Int | 18 (16) | 20
    Wis | 15 (8) | 13
    Cha | 8 (0) | 8

    Yay and stuff.
