How's this Fiend-Blooded trick work?
Hood - My first answer to all your build questions; past, present, and future.

Speaking of which:
Don't even need TO for this.  Any decent Hood build, especially one with Celerity, one-rounds [Azathoth, the most powerful greater deity from d20 Cthulu].
Does it bug anyone else that we've reached the point where characters who can obliterate a greater deity in one round are considered "decent?"

How's this Fiend-Blooded trick work?

No trick, it's just their class feature: Fiendish Sorcery.

It's more or less like Extra Spell should be, except with no limits on highest level spells, and limited to Enchantment/Illusion/Necromancy/[Fire], and you get a spell every 2 levels, on top of other nice class feature like a smite with blasts, ability increases and a resistance to poison.

Idea:
Sorcerer4/Ruathar3/Fatespinner4/Fiend Blooded9

Versatile Spellcaster + Heighten Spell to enter Ruathar early.

Seems like it would be interesting.

While Dragon material, Dragon 313 has the Ghost Elven race, which gets Knowledge (Planes) as a racial class skill. They're also LA +1, though.

I have a dillemma: what 9th level spell to take as my single 9th level Sorcerer spell.  I have 9th level spells from Cleric casting as well, so Wish isn't my best bet (I can use Miracle instead for just about everything, which doesn't always cost xp).  My domains are Planning, Knowledge, and Animal, so I have access to Foresight, Time Stop, and Shapechange already (I'm also a 10th level Swiftblade).  After those four spells...what's next?  Yes, this is an epic game.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

What's your CL? If it's high, I'd suggest Crushing Fist of Spite, or Maw of Chaos, because I like the mental image both spells conjure. Otherwise, I'd use Mindrape, because I'm just that big of an asshole.

Shades is largely useless, due to Miracle access.

Invoke Magic, if you don't have another way around AMFs.

Unbuffed by feats or items, my caster level is 18.  I just barely have 9th level spells.  The good news is that I can, if I need to, boost my caster level by up to my Cha bonus (Bloodburn from Ultimate feats), but I take damage for doing so.

AMFs are handled by an epic spell (as is Disjunction, Greater Dispel Magic, and some Dispel seed spells).

I'd go with Replicate Casting. There's something cool about being able to mimic spells. I'd use it mostly to mimic buff spells I can't cast.

Also, take a look at 2 PrCs for a Sorcerer from Age of Mortals:
1 - Academy Sorcerer. On a Snowcasting Sorcerer, that's +4 DC, +4 Spell Penetration, +8 to Saves. vs. [Cold] and 3 Metamagic Feats over 10 levels. Oh, and you can Aid Another to add a +7 bonus to some skills to allies. And of course, UMD is a Class Skill. Not quite Incantatrix, but it's close.

2 - War Mage. Crappy feats to enter, but at low levels Combat Casting isn't that bad, and you plan to enter early, don't you? Oh, and you get 2 Metamagic Feats for free over 5 levels. And CHA to AC to 3 Allies. And +3 Damage per Die. And -10% ASF.

If you can cheese your way into it, the Citadel Mystic is beyond worthy.
Benefits: Bonus Domain, CHA to 2 Saves, 4 spells that are permanently either Extended of Empowered. As a Favored Soul, I'd want it bad.

All 3 are full casting PrCs!

You don't need to see how that works. These aren't the spells you are looking for. Move along.

It's also handy as an information-gathering spell, since it lets you see the victim's memories.

That said, I went with Replicate Casting.  Being able to copy any 8th level or lower spell I see cast is pretty damn good for a Sorcerer.

shame there's a 5th level spell that negates the benefits of that type.

Invoke Magic is from Lords of Madness or something like that, and allows you to cast a single spell of 4th level or lower in an antimagic field.
