The Ramones... The Clash, Sex Pistols and Dead Kennedys are better.

 :eh
None of those groups would have started if it wasn't for the Ramones.
Your point? Ramones would've never played if not for Muddy Waters and so forth. Also, Sex Pistols sort of evolved from the Strand, in which both Cook and Matlock played already in early 1974, the year the Ramones was founded...

My point is that your point is completely subjective and... pointless.
The Ramones have as many popular ALBUMS as any of those other three have popular SONGS even combined!
None of the other three even has a single album that I don't feel like skipping through at least one or two tracks.  Ramones?  I can listen to a good half of their albums and enjoying every song.

Oh yeah, I just stated my opinion, didn't mean to sound like I was picking a fight. And I most definitely disagree with your assessment of the albums of my examples: Nevermind the bollocks is great from the logo to the end credits, same goes for The Clash and London calling and I am a fan of Black market clash as well. Dead Kennedys does ride with Fresh fruit for rotten vegetables and Frankenchrist. The Ramones also has like three times more records than The Clash, Dead Kennedys and Sex pistols combined (Rocket to Russia being my personal favourite)...

However, the Ramones has easily the best live record of those bands.

Yeah, some bands just don't record well live...  It's strange.  I had this old bootleg Misfits show on vinyl and the sound was absolute sh!t.

True enough. On the other hand, some bands make absolutely awesome live records, Black Sabbath's Reunion is a great example of this.

I found them on Havoc TV and it was their Dig Lazarus Dig video and I hated them at first but now I love 'em. Still only have that album though.

Katans, you may want to look into Intronaut awesome progressive sludge beatdown stuff without the usual wankery and frills.
