So is anyone admitting that they he absolutely sucks at this?

It's similar to 'how big is your penis'. Those who are proud of their abilities will state them. Those who are not will choose not to answer the question.

Never mind the insults (which are clearly 4Chan-level childish). You say people like Sunic are the bane of the internet? Try looking at your own post and telling me you are better than him.

I don't care enough about people to study them.  Therefore, I suck at it.

They're useful tools at times. Most are too unreliable to be anything more, but hey.

I wouldn't say I suck at it, but I have a tendency to disregard what I know about people when I talk to them anyway (much of the time, but not all of the time). So even if I know I shouldn't say something, there's not always a good chance that I won't actually say it. This, of course, has led to tons of arguments with people over very silly things at times.

So I guess I'd say I suck at acting on my understandings of people, which themselves are adequate but not excellent.

I wouldn't say so much "study" as "watch". I just like to watch people and see what i can deduce from their actions. i don't think i try and predict their actions very much. seems like a waste of time. I just do what i need to do and their feelings are thier responsibility. : )  in a nice way of course.

So i wonder, in the freudian aspect of this conversation, does this mean i'm proud of my penis, or do i just like to watch it?

Hmm... I think Frued would say that your watching people interact with others would mean you like to watch people interact with your penis... :D

My take: I'm good enough in psychology to realize people who care about it will tend to think they're good at it, by remembering all the times they've been right and (unconsciously - it's the darn brain !) omitting most of the times they've been wrong.

And no, I'm not very good in psychology. ;)

I do remember trying this kind of "deep mechanical understanding" of people when I was younger. I guess I outgrew it.  :P

People can know my personality well and still have trouble "predicting" my actions/reactions well... good enough for me. Being completely transparent would suck.

Better to get laid and not have a sex drive then to have on and not get laid.

Trust me on that one, bro.   :smirk

I wish I had more sex drive.  People make me feel too logical.

This sorta reminds me of the Chuck Norris joke, except Chuck Norris is replaced with Uber:
The only one good enough to have sex with Ubernoob, is Ubernoob.

People usually think that I've lost my mind. I haven't lost it, I know exactly where it is: the gutter.

That brought a smile to my face.  It's an insult and a comparison to chuck norris at the same time.  Plus fu to you.  That was really good.
