Highest constant AC at lvl 1?
« on: October 01, 2008, 11:33:56 AM »
A Genasi/Tiefling / Any race with +2 int Swordmage will probably have the highest AC:
20 Int +5, Leather Armor +3, Spiked Shied +1 (Counts as light blade), Swormage Warding +3 = 22 AC!

Can you improve this?
'DnD is not a game; it is a membership in a tribe that I joined long ago.'

Stupidity should be painful!

Improve on the number, no. Improve on the build, yes. Get hide instead of Spiked Shield Prof., then use a longsword instead.

By the way, it's 21, because leather is only +2.

ah of course leather is +2... this is theoretical highest AC, not optimal build...

Well, if it doesn't change the number then you might as well make the rest better.

Human for both Spiked Shield Prof and Hide prof.  That puts you back up to 22.

You dont really need spiked shield proficiency... its the AC bonus that is important, not the proficiency to hit bonus

Swordmages don't start with a shield proficiency.  Might as well get a spiked shield while you're paying for the feat.
