Season 3 is no worse than Season 2. I've been re-watching Season 2 the last few days and realized how seriously terrible some of the casting and acting of Season 2 were. Molly and West especially make me want to drown baby ducklings.

I don't think Molly's a bad actress. I think her role is bad. It's hard to act well with a crappy role... :shrug

Overall, assuming things come together as well or better than in Season 2, Season 3 is shaping up to be a better season, imo.

I'm feeling season three is going to see a hit to story for an increase in CGI and action.  I don't think that is a bad thing, while I've loved the series I feel there does need to be more actoin, They're superbeings DAMMIT.

Am I allowed to put theorys on here if I put them in spoiler blocks stateing which episode it comes from.

Probably best not to do it, although if you state it's a spoiler, and you can't contain yourself, I think we'd all understand.

After seeing the last one: where the hell did Sylar's super-hearing ability go ? Tsk.

Not explicit spoilers but just in case.
Hiro is more of a bumbling fool than ever.
I like the ability of whoever is projecting images of the old mobster to Nathan and Daphne. If you control information...
Claire... let's not talk about her.

The end felt a bit predictable but some cool things happened before that.

I can buy the excuse that he was trying so hard to control himself that his hearing didn't work. Or do you mean something other than during the battle?
Really ? I thought he was straining to hear. And he didn't do anything when he was in danger...

Actually, that probably makes you right. Heroes are dumb. :D
As for your spoiler: I know. I wanted to keep "revelations" to a minimum.

Regarding the end: did you anticipate it ? My twisted mind was waiting for that person to show up but...
I figured he's just being cocky. Probably didn't know what the guy could do and assumed he wasn't going to be able to kill him.
As to the ending, yeah that was unexpected...

A coworker asked me today how they could have kept a guy like that in Level 5.  Almost impossible, unless the Haitian was the doorman.

When Peter was held in season 2 they had a drug cocktail that did the same thing as the Hatian.

Personally, I think Sylar could hear what was going on, but why should he really care? He is essentially unbeatable now, and even if the guy did use his power on him, I'm sure Sylar could have avoided it somehow, probably using telekinesis. I originally thought that he would use telekinesis to stop Claire from falling into the hole, which would have been a little cooler in my opinion than his weird teleport grab (wasn't he on the other side of the room to begin with? With Noah? And then all of a sudden he is helping Claire? I dunno.).

Hmm, maybe he activates super-hearing by straining to hear it? Like, that's a subconscious trigger to turn it on? I would buy that explanation.

I also thought that Sylar's whole 'knowledge hunger' is kinda stupid, but at least it explains my biggest gripe about him from Season 2 (why he seemed to be some kind of vampire, but one that eats brains).

To be honest, I was hoping Bob's power would get more use, but I read something online that he was supposed to turn a wooden door into a metal one, but the effect 'looked like crap'. But they also said that they hoped to expand on his powers now that Sylar has them.

Sylar definitely lost his super hearing in this last episode.  He was squinting and the sounds were muffled.  It showed the scene from his perspective- he heard everything just as we would've-- soft sounds that carried.  Even with just the body language it would be easy enough to figure out what was going on.

The writers goofed.  And it annoyed me.

Is there a list anywhere of Sylar's complete abilities?  I'd love to remind myself what he has.  As should the writers.

Yeah as that was unfolding with Sylar I was wtf, where's his hearing from that mechanic girl.  I agree, I think it was a dumb inconsistency on part of writers.

And in a show where the powers and such play as big a role as they do they gotta be more on their game.  Reminds me of when the Hiro formula mistake (hello dummy.  time travel).

I suspect we are going to see lots of wtf moments in the show where we the viewers are thinking 'he's got X power he shoulda just done that and problem solved'

I thought he got his borrowed powers reset when he lost his original power at the end of season 1. Otherwise he'd have psychometry, that goofy metal melting thing, super hearing, cold control, telekinesis...
He does still have the power to go nuclear though
So I could be wrong on the reset, or they did the reset, but the leftover power is the continuity error and not the missing power.
