Check the Bob Barr campaign page:  Texas flat-out denied the Libertarian petition to bar Faux-bama and McCain from the ballot.  I guess we're going to get more criminals in office.

From the state that gave you George W. Bush, how could you expect more?

I know people from Texas.  My friends from Texas vs "average Texan" is like playing "One of these things is not like the others".

:review Well, we might have hoped (I know I did), but I think we all expected this.

We can say that because we knew about the original petition.  I feel something akin to an obligation (without the need to act- is that guilt?) toward the people who didn't know at all and will be kept in the dark as to why these two candidates for "change" are suggesting minor things, attempting to make mountains of molehills.

In other news, I read Ron Paul's The Revolution:  A Manifesto.  Very enlightening.  And I found Chuck Norris' political action book Black Belt Patriotism!  Check him out at www.kick-start.org!

Of course. That's why I used "we," referring to us who are perusing this thread rather than a broad generalization of the American public (also, I [rather obviously] realize this information is available elsewhere, but it would be far too tedious to have listed every such location rather than simply saying, "we.").

I really do hope this makes it to the Supreme Court but, again, I know this is very unlikely to happen, even if it is the for-fuck's-sake-law.

D A N G

That could've stirred things up a bit.
And it's "nice" to see that State Laws mean as much to a given state,
as Federal Laws means to a given President.

I liked the fact that:
Constitution Party (far right)
Libertarian Party (center and different) - though Bob Barr is a little iffy to the true believers
Ron Paul - same as above
Green Party (far left)
Ralph Nader

all go together and agreed on the top 4 issues; in their minds and in the electorate's.
And then the economy crashed.

Too bad, they couldn't pull of this meeting and agreement earlier ...
and then select a legit candidate to head them all,
say like Mayor Bloomberg of New York.
As a crew, there might've been enough money to pull it off.

If the collective heads
aren't too far up the collective asses (!!)
they all ought to try again
and sooner than too late before the next election.

If a 3rd party could get it's act together,
there is a demand for it.
