As the swarm of bizarre creatures swirls around Kris and Jack, there is no defending from their assault.  They dodge from left to right before Jack rears up again and runs straight out the mouth of the cave. Kris hangs limply in the saddle, one hand holding the reins as Jack careens towards the cave opening, managing to shout a quick warning to the halfling by the door.
Look out, we're coming through!!

As Jack whirls around outside, turning back towards the cave, his knees buckle slightly as the effects of the quasit's poison begins to take hold.
Fort saves Kris, Jack (1d20+9=11, 1d20+9=20, 1d20+9=22, 1d20+9=14). So Kris is nauseated and Jack is poisoned.

I have nothing useful against swarms, so all I'm concerned about is getting out of the cave at the moment. I would like to move 60'.
As soon as everyone heads out of the cave, Vargach takes one last swing, swatting down a few more demons before mounting Horny and spurring the great beast into a trot out of the cave, fighting the hordes as she brings up the rear.
The cake is a lie.

save against nausea = 14
save against poison = 24

Duk's hardy body manages to fight off the effects of the poison, but the combined disgusting effect of the swarm of tiny demons around him finally gets to him, and he doubles over, gagging and retching.  Stumbling through the swarm towards the cave's opening, Duk manages to shout, Gix!  Out!  There is a flutter of wings, and the bird careens from the corner in which he had been hiding and through the opening of the cave, untouched by the demon swarm.
Duk is nauseated, so he can only take one move action, which will get him to E10.
